Gensets anyone

Doesn't matter now they're payware but i think if an asset isn't uploaded to the DLS it's harder to find, a pain if it has missings dependencies, and it isn't available to use in Multiplayer. And BTW, auran uses FCT's to keep the server rnning, as it's quite expensive, that DLS:hehe:

Jointed Rail seems to be doing OK with their payware and with having all of their dependencies available. You've put a lot of work into these locos: If you want to get paid for your work, I think you are more than entitled to it. I certainly don't want to turn this thread into the often duplicated payware vs. freeware thread, but lets face it: NOTHING motivates content creators better than money. If you start getting a little money for your efforts, well, Hey!! Maybe I can get MORE money if I make MORE stuff!!

I've certainly shown my share of appreciation to the Jointed Rail guys, and in return, they keep making more high quality content. Frankly, I'm looking forward to seeing more of Rob's content.

I certainly do not mind payware. The locos are invariably much nicer (at least North American locos are), they look better, sound better, they have a nice cab view, work better, and generally look as realistic as can be expected when you make screen shots.

Just my opinion,

Dave

Has anything become of this? Has it really become "vaporware"? I was hoping someone would make the SEPTA genset 70 for Trainz. Best I can do now is reskin one of the NJT genset-like locomotives from TCR.

He doesn't have internet at the moment. So it is hard to post any pictures of any sort of progress..let alone post about it.

From the pics he's posted, he's done some really good stuff. We can only hope that he's been passing his internet-less time by creating more awesome content and we get a surprise flood when he's back! I've been patiently waiting for the MARC MP36's and his Baltimore area route he's been working on looks great too.

Good things come to those who wait!
