Gensets anyone

LOL, I'm convinced there will never be a Trainz version of the MP36.....there have been A LOT of failed starts at it. ;)

GREAT work for three days of work.

---Scott

It does have a unique body shape. I've just reskinned F59s for my marc fleet which uses the MP36.

For an engine sound, go vacuum the carpet and make a recording, thats about how these things sound...
Its quite impressive that you managed to make the whole thing in three days, good work.

Just wondering about the cab view. Will it have a custom cab view or are you gonna use the generic?

Cheers,

Dave

In trainz to test whether it works. Worked the first time which is a shocker for me.

Well, you've made yourself a nice looking Prius there! I do hope you decide to release it, otherwise you got a few people worked up here, and I don't much see the purpose in a thread that could have been titled "Look what I got".;)
I also have to wonder at the posters who respond to your topic with a request for an entirely different locomotive. You've done a good job on this one, and that's the topic of the thread! A few days work...you've got real skills! Good luck to you!:)

Isn't that what the screenshot section is for. Showing off cool projects! Didn't think it was called future release section. If it is then i'll stop posting screenshots right away. Anyway I never announced a release however just after making them, just like every other model i've done, plenty of people have stated they can't wait for these. Look around, there are plenty of screenshots where people are showing off cool stuff they have, why should this be any different. Will I release? perhaps, but if I do expect it to be payware.

On another note I don't know why others posted requesting other locomotives. I do have an interest in creating road switchers, as i'm doing now; however i'm at the phase where i'm not really interested in contributing to the game for others. Thats what JR's for :), product placement.

Again, me putting up this thread shouldn't have mislead anyone since I've stated several times a release is probably not likely, but possible. If it was a project for release wouldn't one post in the "freeware/payware" section of the forum :hehe:

Well geez, sorry Mr Sensitive! Now, what did I post? I posted that I HOPE you would release them, and that a few people were excited by them. You go ahead and do what you want either way, make yourself a fleet of locomotives for all I care, now that I know better I can avoid your threads from now on.

Haha thats funny, mr. sensitive. I was simply trying to make a point that others tend to announce releases before creators even have the opportunity to decide on that. You also stated that if I didn't plan on releasing that having a thread was basically pointless. How that got interpreted was ,"Don't show me what you have unless your gonna gimme!" If you choose to avoid my threads more power to you bud. Happy Trainzing!:p

Sorry Euphod, I'm agreeing with him. What you said was a little rude in your original statement and more of a gimme statement. When I first read it before I saw rztaylor response I was taken aback as well and this isn't even my thread. haha
Also come on now Euphod you should know by now and this goes for others as well that never get your hopes up until you see it release. Never get over excited for anything here unless its from JR becasue statics are 90% of the time it will never get done.... But not to down you rztaylor but besides your work others have brought us hopes and dreams then to get shot down do to either I don't have time, I'm going restart it, or I just do not feel like working on it anymore.

Yall need to leave the man alone, if he wants to post shots of his work thats fine, even if he does not plan on a release. In fact I like it when people show there work, yes I may ask when its going to be released, and if they say its not then fine. This is why we dont have more talented people creating stuff, they dont want to put up with crap like this. I would not either. Yes I would like to see this released very much, but if it is not thats fine. Leave people alone and if you dont like the way him or anyone else runs a thread, dont come to it.

This is under the "Workshops - Your Creations" sub-forum. Generally, when someone posts screenshots of things they are working on here, it's to get a feel to see if other Trainzers are interested, and with the intention of a future release to the public. If you are just creating this for your own use, and have no plans for a release, I'd say there's no reason for you to post screenshots, other than to say (as Ed stated) "Look what I got."

This forum is a community and as such, we should all share what we create, whether it be freeware or payware. I create buildings and stuff and choose to make mine available as freeware.

The Gensets are coming along nicely, I must say, but if you choose not to release them, that's your business. But to post screenies just to try to impress others is basically pointless. This is just my opinion, of course.

As far as being Gimmes, heck, let's be honest, we all are that! Otherwise why would we be crusing the Workshops - Your Creations threads?

Cheers,

Dave

I am going to have to respectfully disagreed. Forums do not necessarily mean that if we make it we have to share it. There a plenty of things that were made by me and others that will never be released and we have posted screenshots of them. Prime example the Gmax and 3d rendering thread.

You do not have to release what you make. That's a bad 5 year old attitude in my own opinion in the same sense that's like saying "Hey if you won't release it then I do not want to see it." Even world wide companies have private things that will never be available to the public.

But here is a solution for you, if do not want people to show what they create all becasue they won't release it then have the forums make a privateware section in the forums but till that happens then let the guy post what he wants releasable or not.
