Fruehauf trailers

Hi there,

I downloaded Dinorius...'s great trailers and semi truck. How do I get them on to the roads? I have tried adding them to the region file as usual, but all I get is a semi on its own, and a trailer flying sideways down the road???

The trailer is not for traffic use, and can not be attached to a truck as traffic. Any you have seen in screenshots are static if a trailer and cab are hitched.

Edit: The truck and trailer would have to be combined by the original creator in Gmax for that to work.

Thanks for confirming that MB, I saw them on Philskene's post crossing over a bridge (sideways) and thought they were on the region kuid list for traffic.

You still can't get 'em to work as traffic, but there are updates on the DLS which are rotated the correct way and also have improved graphics. Worth getting just for the graphics...

You can use PEV's Attachment Maker to create and add mesh to a Tractor/Truck so that a separate Trailer can be attached to the fifth wheel of the Tractor/Truck. I wrote a simple tutorial which is at http://forums.auran.com/trainz/showpost.php?p=650623&postcount=24

Sounds like a good idea to both Dermmy and Bob, I shall see what I can do. I hate to be a bore Bob, but what is an Attachment Maker?

Attachment Maker is a piece of software written by PEV which lets you create a mesh with attachment points, and you can do this without the need for Gmax or any other 3D software package. You can download it for free from http://www.members.optusnet.com.au/~villaump/pevsoft.htm
You should download all 6 packages since they are very useful for fixing all sorts of problems that show up with TS2009 and 2010 when installing older kuids.
