For those experiencing issues with downloading using TDH/CM after the server transfer

TS2009:WBE - Win7 - Opened tickets with auran helpdesk back on March 26 and have had no reply from them.

My valid FCT is not recognised in CM. I have tried the fixes they suggested in the forum (clear the CM, extended database repair) but still resolutely at 100mb a day and refuses to recognise my valid FCT. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled TS2009:WBE and yet still the same trouble.

I also ask - will my FCT be extended for the week that the DLS has been unavailable to me through no fault of mine? My FCT expires on April 12 and I am annoyed that they have obviously messed up the server migration.

trs 2006 still sitting on 0.0 i have done everything you said to do and still none i have a fct with 43 days left

First class ticket ok

Hi Zec.
I have just been to the shop, and paid for a first class ticket, and activated it open cm in 2010 , and it all went well no problems.

All That I Must Say Is That I Am Really Fed Up With These Issues. One Moment It Works, Then For The Next 2 Days, It Doesn't.
This Is A Very Large Issue, Affecting Over Half Of The Trainz Users Out There.
:(

Hi guys,
I'm another one that can't seem to download anything either with CM or FTP. Followed Zacs instuctions but nothing.
Running TRS2006, SP1, and have 28 days left on a FCT

Hi All

We do apologise for the time this is taking.

In regards to TS2009/TS2010, we are still unable to find the cause of the failure to download with these editions, as all of our own versions (including installs on our off-site computers, or tests with other accounts that have been reported as failing) have worked flawlessly with the upgraded servers, apart from the issue with the FCT itself not being recognised. Hence, this is an extremely difficult issue to resolve, since we must rely on your information to fix it.

As far as we can tell, based on the above, the likely cause of the current issue is either your connection is not allowing CM to access the new server, or CM is not properly connecting to the DLS server. We will continue to investigate this next week after the long weekend. However, it may be a little while longer before it is sorted.

In regards to TRS2006 though, we have located the cause of it not connecting, and we will be working on finding a fix for it next week. We are able to reproduce the issue with TRS2006's CM, which has helped us with finding the cause.

We will be looking into the possibility of either extending existing FCT's, or adding a new (short) FCT to cover the duration of these issues. However, any work on this will not occur until after we have sorted the download issues out first.

For those who are seeing an error message stating 'server full', please send a ticket to the helpdesk, as this is likely to be a different issue, which I can usually fix from here.

In the mean time, if you do need to download an item from the DLS, please follow the instructions in the first post on how to download via the FTP links.

We thank you for your patience whilst we work to sort this error out.

Is there anything for anyone whos FCT ran out during the server changeover so didn't get to use it even though we had one? Seemed rather unfair to me..

I Cannot Help But Be Very Disappointed With Auran. They Say They Will Begin To Work Again On The Problem Next Week. But I Personally Think That Is Very Ignorant. We Spend Our Money Buying Their Tickets, Add-Ons, Expansion Packs, And Of Course, The Game Itself. They Are Not Taking This Seriously Enough At All. Their Are Millions Of Trainz Users Without CMP Connection. And They Decide Not To Work On It Until Next Week.

G'Day Zec, Well at least someone had a thought for us, thanks for the information, at least we can rest a little easier rather than stewing over the weekend on the issue.
Hopefully it is resolved quickly and we can continue on our normal Trainz life.
Regards and have a great weekend all.
Barrie

You expect them to work on this over easter weekend? Are you serious?

a) It's just a game

b) It works (mostly) for a large group of users.

c) Millions? I think you vastly overstate Trainz's userbase :P

d) Capitalising every word isn't 'proper english' and makes your text very hard to read.

Hi HoorayforOliver2

We have been working on this since the issues were discovered, and worked on this particular issue for all of yesterday, however we were not able to find a fix before the end of the day. As it is the Easter weekend (a long weekend), there is no one in today to work on this issue. As, in Queensland, the long weekend covers both Good Friday and Easter Monday, we will not be able to work on this until next Tuesday, and it will likely be mid to late next week that we are able to find and complete a fix for this issue.

We are taking this issue very seriously, as it is affecting a large number of users of Trainz, who have purchased the software and First Class Tickets. However, due to the long weekend, we are not able to do anything on this issue until next week.

You do still have access to the DLS, via the DLS website and the FTP links, as outlined in the first post. Granted, it is tedious to use if the item you want has many dependencies, but it is available for you to use until we solve the issues with CMP connecting to the DLS.

We do thank you for your patience with this.

Hello Mr. Murphy,

Thank you for your efforts to keep everyone informed. Once you get this glitch resolved, I think it might be interesting if you could describe what the problem was and how it was fixed. But this is just idle curiousity, and I think we all would understand if security considerations prevent sharing this information.

Bernie

Same problem as others in this thread.
However I don't have the FCT. I have 2009 loaded on two computers and
can't download from either. Nothing has been changed on this end.
Hope you are able to get the DLS working next week.

My 2010 CM3.2 is acting real strange .... must take after me :hehe:

My FCT is working correctly and I can now manually download items from the Download Station using the FTP method, I can also download using CM3.2 without any problems as well so all my previous problems are basically fixed. However, when I look in CM3.2 using the Download Station Tab I can only see content older then March 7, 2010. I have tried an Extended Database Repair a number of times, as well as a Quick Database Repair a few times to, but nothing seems to correct this to show the up-to-date content on the DLS.

The strange thing is though, when I first go into CM3.2 (with the settings showing the Download Station Tab) and everything finally starts up I can see content dated March 27 for a few seconds, then the screen flickers and I am back to the March 7th content.

Very strange

Any ideas on possible ways to correct this would be much appreciated.

Craig

...until we solve the issues with CMP connecting to the DLS.

FWIW it is not just CMP. Download Helper for TRS04 is showing exactly the same behaviour as TRS06 CMP. It logs in, finds the content, thinks it is downloading, but then just sits for ever. It gets this far...

... but nothing downloads.

Andy :)
