FEC Key West extension modern day

Screenshotz: KWE for January 12, 2009

You will see blank baseboard land for sure...

FEC Train 111 is dogged for its course from Coral Gables, FL to Homestead, FL.

Train 111 is an IM/Manifest train that CSX inquired of a set out of a GP40-2 and 2 cars by the Wye because the GP40-2 was just fixed and brought on Q457-09 from Waycross, GA.
The IM from Tr 111 comes from CSX Q127 and parts of NS 275.

Thats looking good so far brickbuilder!
Sorry about the missing assets, i dont visit here much anymore, ill try and get them to you over the long weekend coming up.
Are you using 09? Did you notice a significant increase in FPS on this route? I may get 09 so i can actually run my routes, thats pretty much what killed interest in TRS for me.

Thanks Nikos! :D

The FPS is doing great so far, only congested areas kind of slow down a bit. If the SD70M-2s work so fine, so should your areas!

So, yes I'm using TS2009.

I actually do share a concern, and it is about running with Morning Sky at night; I so notice the sky still looks like a hint of daylight.

Since of what I heard TS2009 was on a new graphic engine, many features have been improved, and you can see it in the shadows.

Unlike many who do rise some complaints, I have very very few problems.

Anyway I did add track to Downtown Miami, so I can merge with Richard.

Also, to have a taste of what's to come for all, these are the fictious trains that dominate the route:

Yard jobs and locals
981 BV Yard, switches Port of Miami, IM, 9am
982 BV Yard, Switches manifest up to Coconut Grove, 1am
985 Hialeah Yard, switches industries up to Homestead, 12am
990 KW Intermodal switcher, 3am
992 KW manifest, works Home Depot and more, 2am

Actual trains n turns
111-212 Bowden - KW, Sets out at BV Yard, IM, some manifest, may set out CSX if so desired 3PM
113-214 Bowden - KW, direct IM and autos, 2PM
129-230 Bowden - KW Via LR Belt Line, IM, S-O of rock, carries auto and manifest, 5am
145-246 as mentioned before, but please change to 131-232 b/c FEC Extras begin with 240-141
Turn 197-298 Carries rock from Medley to KW Tu-Th 6pm
337-338 Rock from medley, M-F 1am

Extras start with 401-402

If I so choose I may include Hialeah/Medley Yards (impending change) and Buena Vista Yard, I may separate so I can merge with Richard

Nice Job Brickbuilder. Makes me wish I had your route building skills.

Thanks!

For the record, the past shot is in the Pinecrest area, a K Mart off of US1 and SW 104th St.

I'm running FEC 402 which is carrying extra IM from Fleming and on top of that, baretables too. Look out for the posting.

FEC Train 402 is a KW to Bowden 'variable' train which can carry anything that comes from the Keys. Today's consist is IM, manifest, and baretables and he left at 4am. This proves the longevity of Nikos's route from start to finish!

I begin my lengthy chase at Roosevelt

I'd thought I'd offer a bit of a background on the KMart screen...

It is at the corner of US 1 and SW 104th St. I included a crossbuck crossing so motorists from US1 can access the area.

I am also a bit curious of the Auran track in Pigeon Key, what spline is missing? Looks like grass from previous shots.

Train 131

Today I headed out to Islamorada to catch train 131, a new advertised train from Hialeah to Key West Yard. As said on the second page, in reference to the 246, this train contains a variable consist, but today it has rock and tankers of fuel for the aircraft carrier.

The reason why I renumbered this number (it would have been 145) is simply because the 240s/140s are extra trains, those not affirmatively scheduled

A sneak preview of what's to come: Since the drawbridges calibrate for the trains too late, I found a way using Advanced Traffic Light System to cue drawbridges to hand the right of way to trains earlier, using the new Level Crossing Mode. It DID work for BNSF50's bridge cantilevers, so it should work for this. Oh wait; it did!

What you have to do is to;
1. Place the drawbridge and position elevation
2. Place one or two sets of invisible track in points not corresponding to the bridge yet
3. Place a controller and activate it for route LCM (-1)
4. Place an ATLS slave at any track spline point. Calibrate to route LCM
5. Place a track eraser b/w slave and bridge
6. Set up triggers for the tracks, on SPL, as far as you wish.
7. Align the mainline track for the points to hover on the bridge spline points. Straighten if need be.

You cannot position a train in Surveyor between the triggers. We are using multi directional settings for the triggers.

...ultimately, you would see this in Driver! In this enactment the train is about a mile away

Like Richard suggested and I have previously added to my FEC Miami to Boynton route, I am including many scenes of interest. I won't spoil you on all the scenes, but here's one I added on US1 at SW 104th street.
