Hello,
For those of you who don't know, I have been taking an extended break from Trainz. However, now I regret to inform those who appreciated my presence on these forums that I will not be actively playing Trainz or participating in discussions on here.
This is not a rash decision made out of anger. It is one that took quite a bit of time and consideration because this community has been a part of my life since 2007. It's a tough thing for me to face, but as I have grown older, I have come to realize that I will not have the amount of time I used to have to dedicate to Trainz, or eventually any train simulator. I am growing older, unfortunately, and with age comes responsibility and priorities.
Another reason is not a matter of time, but motivation. I love route building, and I always will, but the motivation and creativity I once had is not there anymore. What used to be hours on end of aimless track laying and city construction is now a tedious process of making sure things are perfect. Perhaps that is my own fault, and that I take route building too seriously, but that's the way I build, and everyone takes a different approach to it.
With that said, I won't forget all that I learned from this community and the times that I have had with friends I have acquired, whether it be good or bad, going about it the easy or hard way.
However, for me, it is time to focus on my personal life and aspirations to finish high school, attend MODOC Railroad Academy, and become a licensed conductor, which in turn means I need to focus on school as well.
Again, thank you guys and N3V for the wonderful 7 years of entertainment.
Regards,
Blake
