Even better Andy!! I was just looking at the other new shots on your site, and I love them all! Very beautiful!

Having just spent a better part of my day at the GAF plant in Mt. Vernon, I have to to say you've nailed the look of this area. While I was waiting to pick up a load of roofing paper I got to watch 3038 and 3039 switching and must say 3039 must need some work because it was smoking like an ALCO. Keep up the awesome work Andy!

3 pic's in one day Dermmy can only mean one thing, Your very close to letting this masterpiece loose on everyone else ?.
Great work mate.
Cheers Mick.:udrool:

LOL - not if I change the grass! The 'new' stuff is a very different width than the original splines, so 'Replace Asset' is not an option. That means changing the whole route manually. I'm still experimenting with any impact on fps the change might have, but it's looking good...

Andy

I think picking the right grass is one of the hardest thing since 09....
Especially if you are not modelling summer.
:)

Love your shots, Andy.
:)

An unlikely yard transfer eastbound on the main between Mt Vernon and SWMC...

Nice content Cody, thanx!

Andy ;)

They all actually look right at home Andy great job, And awesome work Cody your making this game even more enjoyable mate keep the great skin's coming.
Cheers Mick.;)

Love how you're using the KT hoppers Andy!

Cody did those up for me, as the KT is my personal railroad in Trainz.
Given my railroad runs the old NYC Egyptian Line from Mt. Carmel, IL to Gary, IND...I'd say they're right at home to be interchanged into your port!

Cheers,
Woody

P.S, KT also operates the old L&N St. Louis Line via Mount Vernon, Illinois, so I'd say your transfer was not as unlikely as you thought!

Andy,

I don't know how in heck I missed this thread... probably because I don't read the "Screenshots" section that often... but your route is fantastic and so real looking. Now I'm having second thoughts about releasing my Cotton Belt Route  !! I thought it looked pretty realistic, but your work puts mine to shame!

You're hereby made an honorary Doctorate of Trainzology. Doctor Dermmy---- Has a nice ring to it don't you think??!! :hehe:

Cheers,

Dave

LOL - thanks Dave, but any Trainz doctorates have got to go to Derelict Deane. I just finished (well still tweaking actually) this area, totally rebuilt from the original to include Deane's new elevator. I threw in his seed house and the (pretty much hidden) oil depot for good measure....

swmc_201.jpg

The area is darn hard to shoot from a rail-fan angle because the track is in a cutting and the camera won't 'ground', best I could do from low down is woefully back lit...

Hi Dermmy.
Well as an ausie living in China at the moment i got to say this.
How on earth can an ausie like you build an American route like
this one and so realistic as when you look at the screenshots i
could swear that it was real photos.
Man i can not wait until i can get my hands on your masterpiece
and run trains on it.
Keep up this awsome route and just keep all the details like you
have done so far.
In one word = Mindbogling route =
Cheers.
