I have no idea what the total route miles would be, but in terms of absolute size it is pretty small, about 15 minutes Portal to Portal. Between the Portals though is a virtual spaghetti-bowl of industrial trackage. While it is one of the smallest route's I've done, it is the one I like best. You could lose yourself on it for hours and hours with a switching loco and a few cars....

Andy ;)

Looking forward to getting my hands on it! Conveniently, there seems to be quite the proliferation of switchers available right now!!!:hehe:

This jpeg is cropped from one of Fred Dugger's beautiful pdf maps which will be released with the route. It gives some sense of the scope of the thing. Fred also has detailed schematics for each part of the route...

This all looks very interesting and impressive Andy.

I hope bèta testing goes well. ;)

Greetings from rainy Amsterdam,

Not that I had any doubts, but I checked Google Maps, and you got this area spot on. Great work, I really look forward to losing myself in this route!

I've had a good time messing around with McCall Yard. This route isn't terribly long and it looks like there will be quite a bit to keep you busy. I enjoy a good switching layout! Set up some AI trains to keep you supplied with work to do and you can stay REAL busy!

The map is great, this is going to help me get around a ton, also plan on switching and taking things to where they need to go. This is going to be great thanks andy!!

That map

Hi Andy --

That map you posted above.

Does that mean there is now a work-round for capturing a map of a route? Like we had with TrainzMap?

If there is it would be extremely useful.

And it looks a great route too. I'm looking forward to it.

Phil

Sorry Phil but the answer is 'No.' My last few routes have been accompanied by excellent pdf maps created by Fred Dugger. Exactly how they are created I don't know, but they are deffinitely 'manual' productions, not 'automatic'.

11 locos to be exact. I can't remember what at the moment expect for one GEVO.

If we are talking about new locos to be released with the route then 11 is not the right answer!

Andy ;)
