A couple of long shots showing a local running back towards Mt Vernon from the riverside industrial area. The long spur - almost a branch! - parallels Route 69 for a couple of miles. the loco is GMTX #2651, an ex-CR GP38-2 and a loco actually on lease to EVWR and which appears in many prototype photos. Track is by samplaire, pretty sure it is DLS. He has a zillion variations, but I use 132952:100545 (clean) and 132952:100560 (rusty). If it's not on the DLS it can be found here. Just a note that the track is based on a European prototype, so neither the sleeper (tie) size and spacing nor the rail fastenings are dead accurate for US prototype. Its still the best track I've ever used though!

The turnout frogs are Justin's (NS_37) and are definitely on the DLS: 45324:26001:2 and 45324:26002:2

@ Mick - there's nothing wrong with that skin mate - it looks just as c#%ppy as the real thing does...

Nothing c$%ppy about this skin, and if you are in doubt Google it there are plenty images of it on-line...

The same pic from higher up. The foreground is CF Industries who distribute ammonia-based fertilisers. Looking back towards Mt Vernon Babcock and Wilcox is the big plant on the right with Cargill's elevators just poking over the roof. The switcher has left a cut of cars on the siding opposite B&W. Country Mark Refinery's subsidiary tank farm is on the center-left horizon. Just one more industry - a huge plastics complex - and the industrial 'spur' is done...

I was refering to the real units.... They are really boring looking. I have seen several of them lol... Now the ones in trainz, those are awesome, they look like the real things, a blan blue paint job....... Keep up the good work Andy!

Awesome work as per usual Andy, That thing looks a lot better from the front now maybe .
Thank's for the pic and link Enzo 1 we could of really used that awhile ago, There's so many of these Leaser's out there you could spend forever making them all...lol

JR will release a pack of a couple of these plus the ex-CR unit (and maybe an ex-BN SD40-2 whiteface if Mick hasn't lost the pic!) to coincide with the route release. All of the units depicted will be locos actually on lease (or that have been leased) to EVWR...

As for andy: Yep thats as close as your ever going to get to the boring real thing..... They probably rank up there as one of the most boring look GP units I have seen, but since shorthaul uses leasers, I will use them.... the route is looking incredible.........

Just a note. I like following the progress of your route but after the forum overhaul I've noticed some quirky behavior within the forums. After figuring out how to search for threads I've posted in, I've noticed your thread and others don't show in bold type after a new post since my last visit. Just thought I'd let you know and I suspect others are having the same issue.

The new forum makes it difficult to follow my favorite threads.
