Escanaba and Lake Superior in the North Woods

SD9 1224 is making up its train in the Crivitz yard as it gets ready to take its train south for Green Bay

The first block is for Oconto Falls where it will be set out at Stiles Jct

Went up to Crivitz today to see what kinds of action that was going on.....We made it just in time to catch the ELS 500 and 402 depart the yard as it takes its train north to Channing

And a quick video of an SD9 leaving Stiles Jct for Crivitz

Local CN L570 comes back from switching out Omnova in the Howard Industrial Park, as it waits for CN L550 to clear before hopping on the Manistique sub at E&LS Junction and follow L550 into the yard

CN L550 southbound into Green Bay comes past E&LS Junction as it brings its 89 cars into the yard

The local from Crivitz, comes past the E&LS Junction and follows L570 and L550 into the Green Bay yard

This shot was taken from the cab of the ELS 1200 as it waits in Stiles Jct for the Green Bay-Crivitz train to clear before grabbing the cars that are in the siding ahead of the train before heading back to Oconto Falls

Another amazing route, Keep up the good work :)

Bill

Thanx.....Time to switch it back over to this part of the route as this route has 2 parts ya can run....The WC/CN side of things or the ELS side....Anyways, here is a few more from tonights run

Tonight we catch the M&M job back in Marinette after making a run to Crivitz to swap out its cars

Here we see the M&M local dropping the cars off at the Jackson St Yard...Tomorrow these cars will be switched out at the paper mill on the west side of town

Pulling up to the depot to tie up for the night and wait for the cab

It is June 13, 2005 and the Escanaba and Lake Superior with GP38 402 have 50 cars northbound....This is when pulpwood was headed north to Sagola and the train had 24 loads and 26 empties. 13 of the loads were pulpwood for LP and the other 11 were loads for Marinette/Menominee and some scrap paper for the mill at Ontonagon.

Blasting off from the yard here at Green Bay and time to make its way to Crivitz

Switching some cars around in the Crivitz yard area....Taking some cars out on the WYE to be spotted at the log spur in town and the tank cars will be spotted at the propane spur

The ELS has picked up a new loco to add to there RR fleet.....They picked up a Baldwin S12....Its seen here heading out of Green Bay on its way to the north....Dont know where this will be going or what areas it will be working....More than likely might be the new Oconto Falls switcher for a while as the grain is starting to pick up and they need more power to shuffle the cars around to and from Stiles Jct

Guess one was right on the power for the Falls.....Here it is being set out at Stiles Jct where an Oconto Falls crew will come and take it to the Falls to do some switching.....The SW that is in town will either stay there at the mill, or go to the north end of town and sit down a stub track for further use or when they need it to be used

An empty ELS ballast train makes its way to Crivitz and then onto Green Bay

The ballast train will stop here in Crivitz for a Green Bay crew to come on board to continue its way to Green Bay
