Escanaba and Lake Superior in the North Woods

The 500 shuffles cars in the Crivitz yard to make up its train for MM land as a light snow starts to fall up here in the North-woods of Wisconsin

With the cars all in the right order....The 500 hits the SE leg of WYE and heads east for Marinette Wisconsin/Menominee Michigan

The 500 arrives in Marinette

Here the 500 hops off the ELS tracks and hops onto the CN tracks for the few miles to hit the ELS tracks once again to head to the mill

Arriving at the yard here in Menominee...Here the train will run-around its consist and start shoving cars to the paper mill here in town

The Crivitz to MM land heads east out on the WYE here at Crivitz as it makes its way out of town

Nice looking route, nice to see this little michigan route getting the attention. Wheres the log grapple from?

As the guy fills up his hummer with $80.00, he turns over to check out the daily turn between Crivitz and MM land as the return comes back to Crivitz with a string of empty log cars that will go back north here on the run back up towards Channing tomorrow

Up here in Northeast Wisconsin, a light snow is falling on the Escanaba and Lake Superior railroad as things are just about to get started for today up here in Crivitz

A light snow is falling up here in Crivitz as the 1344 prepares to make a run light to Wausaukee to pick up some empty log cars and take them north up to Pembine where they will get loaded

The daily Crivitz to Green Bay train comes rolling thru Howard and is about to enter the industrial park

A heavy snow falls just north of Crivitz as this train is making its way to Pembine to set out some cars for the Wisconsin Central, but before making a quick stop in Wausaukee to pick up some log cars that will be spotted up in Pembine....

Passing by Smith Creek Rd

Heavy snow falls as the ELS makes its way north to Wausaukee to pick up some empty log cars that will be taken up to Pembine

Picking up a string of empty log cars here in the siding at Wausaukee

The WC as arrived up here in Pembine and has to do its required stop at the stop sign and will proceed once the ELS as come thru and will have some set outs for the ELS

Here the ELS as arrived and will go into the wood siding spur and spot these empties and shove the loads out the other end and then run LHF back to Crivitz

With the ELS in the clear, the WC train heads East for Escanaba

Last shot of the WC train as he hi-balls out of Pembine

Did a little scenario with Jim Elbes pictures.....The real pix on here are courtesy of Jim Elbe....I take no credit on the real ELS pix on this post......

Northbound Escanaba and Lake Superior job pulls north out of the yard here at Green Bay WI. Todays northbound is only 15 cars. 9 empty box cars for the LP OSB mill in Sagola and 6 UTLX tank cars going into storage just north of HWY 22 at Stiles Junction.

After arriving at Abrams, WI, the crew cuts off their train south of downtown to do a little work at the pulpwood spur. Because they are northbound, the power will have to be split up in order to pull the two loads. The 500 ducks into the spur and the 1344 pulls past leaving enough room for the two loads.

The 500 pulls the loads out of the spur and mates them up with the 1344. After this, the 500 will duck back into the spur with the empty and the 1344 will shove south of the switch. There the two units will be mated back up and they can again continue north. The loads go to the LP OSB mill in Sagola, MI.

After a quick brake test the northbound rolls past the feed store. Next stop; Stiles Junction.

The thing I still need to do to it is swap out these fugly looking trees for some better looking ones....But for the time being I just use this ones
