EDBR & Modifiction Date

Running an EDBR seems to set the Modification Date to the date of the repair. Thus if you rely on the Modification Date when selecting the "latest" version for backup many the assets have the same, or no, modification date. Is there an alternate to Modification Date to identify the latest update?

I could just load the route and do a save. Problem there is that an error may be within the route at that time. Unless I am doing sequential backups (disc eater) I may have saved a flawed file.

In the past there was some suspicion regarding N3V auto-backups. Have they proven reliable? If so the date issue is mute.

As I see it, you should only really have a modification date for:

1: Assets that you have edited or created.
2: Assets you have imported from else where.
3. Assets downloaded from the DLS webpage and Imported rather than using Manage Content to download

And yes it is annoying when the dates get reset!

I don't rely on the Auto backup, I do my own backups of my Data using a file synch program.

Exactly... Real backups are the best, but on occasion I have gone back to the .tzarc files and found what I needed when I messed up in between backups.
