East Kentucky

CSX Coal Train

Driving west along the Kentucky River on Glomawr-Storm King road, which is just east of Glomawr, KY on a drizzly June day, I caught a CSX coal train heading up-river towards Dent Junction with a load of empty Bethgons.

Taken from Andy's wonderful EK2 route. Thanks Andy!

BUMP....

Working on this again - in TS2010 yet!

Two of Jointed Rail's beautiful new CSX GP40-2s idle the day away sitting at the western end of Dent Yard.

Great shots and when this is released it will be a very popular route for many. TS2010 upgraded with bump content and 3d vegatation (got some new Ultratreez in progress with low gpu useage and closely representing Trundra Trees ) will make this route unbelievably real.

I wait with anticipation.

Your screenshots never cease to amaze me, Andy.

I was comparing a few of our shots last night, and I decided to give up, because it's no use comparing mine to lifelike pictures :)

Keep up the great work!

Cheers,

Steve

East Kentucky is the best! Every time I start a new route, I continue to be inspired by Andy's fantastic work (hence my new route on the DLS, Ozark Valley Railroad!!:D ). I am looking forward to getting this for TS2010! Will it be the complete 3 parts, or still separated into independent sections? Either way, I'll be one of the first to DLoad this one!

Thanks Andy!

Thanks for all the kind comments :)

3D trees visually comparable with Trunda's fantastic trees would be wonderful. I could get the route out of 'Compatibility' and into 'Native'. I look forward to further news...

Absolutely wonderful shots. I love these East Kentucky routes. They're so realistic. 3D trees would definitely be amazing. Keep at it! I look forward to the release.

Andy, above is a link to two very close screenshots of a WIP. At a dstance the foilage is very small to represent Trundra trees but in 3D.

Keep in mind actual duplication is not possible at this time, but I have a few test techniques I have in mind to really come close to Trundra trees making my upcoming content in high demand and used frequently.

The unpopular aspect and might dissapoint you is that the new UltraTreez at low triangle/less gpu strain/improved foilage and scaling will be Payware. If purchases support this very difficult time consuming content, every so often a freeware release.

Whoa baby. Nice. OT I know.

Andy, It's amazing how well you define the ROW on your route. It has so much detail, but isn't over powering either. I'm using pictures of your ROW as reference for my own routes ;)

Tell me, is this based on the route L&N used to run between Corbin, Kentucky and Knoxville, Tennessee? If so, I'm even more interested.

It looks fantastic Andy, you have such a hand for scenery. I appreciate how you release these for free, I know how much work a layout takes, it is very commendable of you to release these fine pieces for free!

Cheers,
Woody
