downloading and installation of trainz 12 digital download.

Hello everyone, here goes. When I saw Trainz 12 offered at a 75% discount from Simulator Central, I went for it. Paid the money, downloaded the necessary files. However, this is when the fun started. Firstly, so me of my file sizes did not correspond to the "official" sizes. When I checked the checksums with Checksum none of them agreed again with the "official" version. So I downloaded the files again, in fact I downloaded the files 4 times, still the same result. I went to a friends house, different computer,different router, still the same. So I have sent 3 ticket requests but as yet had no joy. I have put all the new files into a new folder as suggested by Support. Goes so far, asks me for disk 1 !!This is because the installer cannot find the files what tosh, they are in a brand new folder. I am really unhappy, the money does not matter, feel I am being given no support at all. My old trainz programme 2009 runs ok. My machine spec. Medion laptop, 1TB hard drive, 8 gig ddr3 ram, Nvidia GT540m geoforce 1GB graphics bang up to date, Intel i5 running at 3.0 ghz. Windows 7 ultimate all serv ice packs up to date. If anyone can help me, I will be very grateful. Many thanks to anyone who can help, I really want to run this programme.

I'm sorry for your frustration. Perhaps the community here can help you. First I need to mention that N3V support is not available on weekends. They are a small company and they may take a bit of time as well to get back with you on your problems. Putting in 3 tickets didn't help the cause and may have confused the support staff which is very limited.

Your problem sounds like your browser or internet service provider (ISP) is losing connection and causing data corruption. If you can, I'd suggest trying a different browser from Internet Explorer which has problems with large files.

Do not use a download manager other than anything that is built into your browser as these programs can cause problems.

As another recommendation, I suggest not using your computer for anything else while the downloads are taking place. Interrupting or using bandwidth at the same time may interfere with your download process.

Once all the downloads are done, ensure that all are in the same folder together including the setup.exe. If you cannot see the .exe file extension, open up File Explorer (windows Explorer in XP to Windows 7), and Click on the view options to show file extensions.
