WOW.............Talk about problems! I used to be able to download some, not many items, but I did get thru - now nothing starts when I try. The window shows the arrow is moving, as if to DL, but it shows '0' for the speed of the DL. When I go to search for a 'kuid', I always get the message to "enter in at least 3 characters when searching for a kuids". I Did put in the entire kuid,i.e. (<kuid:344000:100114>). What am I not doing right in both instances? THANX for looking !

1) I am guessing you are using at least TRS2006 - CMP/2/3.2 seems to be a major problem for some people downloading content - I am currently using Trainz Downloader Pro (http://www.huijelte.com/blog/index.php/downloads/) - use the link to download the latest version of Trainz Downloader Pro (.NET Framework 1.1 will be required: the link for this is on the same page)

2)Try entering the kuid numbers without the <> for example kuid:00000:000000:1 (this is only an example, it may not exist). If it still doesn't like it, omit the kuid: or kuid2: part at the start.

I'm running TC1&2 and thats just a step above TRS2006, I was able to download this morning, I know shaneturner12 is talking about, I had experienced that for the past week.

I have found that even though CM doesn't use cookies, or anything like that to connect to the DLS, I have been able to resolve connection problems by simply deleting the Internet history and login information for my browser (IE8).

It could be that I use the "Use Internet Settings" as my means of connecting through DLS, so perhaps it's related someway.

So give it a try and see if that helps.

I will have to try JCitron's little trick, or remember that I have TDP on my laptop. For days, CMP (TRS2006) was working better than it ever had, no hangs, no crashes, no error messages, and d/l speeds were blazing (for them, worse than dial-up for "normal" downloads).

But over the past week, it won't d/l anything. It loads the assets into Download Helper just fine, but like papajoe, mine just sits them with a 0.0 d/l speed. I tried the tips in the stickied thread at the top of this forum, but they did nothing to change.

At lease I can FTP, and doing so while I work makes a nice way to get some well created stuff and not really care about how long it takes, since I'm chained to this desk anyway!

dls problem

why dont you try a system restore before you had the problem do it in safe mode saves you doing all the tech stuff

John:

As always, you have been a HUGE help. That seemed to do the trick. CMP actually downloaded a couple of things last night. Fingers crossed that it still works tonight!
