Ok I have been using Trainz 09 for many many years and finnaly found some V Line Rolling stock The N class Y Class ect I was so excited. I deleted something by mistake and had to reinstall trainz 09 a few days after downloading all the vline stuff. Anyway I got back onto the download Station to download it all again and I can not find it. I can nor even find allot of the VR Stuff. Can somebody help me?

Have you made sure you've ticked all the version boxes on the left of the search box?

Click the top right of this screen where it says Download Station and login.

In general, when searching the web-based DLS, make sure all the boxes to the left of the search box are checked e.g. Pre-SP3, etc.

Why can't you download? What errors are you getting?
I can't download either - been trying for a few days. Error is "unable to download, server appears to be full, try again later". Assumed it was holiday blues, but should be over now...
Peter :'(

Edit: Prompted by RRSignal's post above, I just looked at the graph on the DLS webpages. It seems that there were very few times when the basic (ie non First-class) server got a look in. Most of the time it says "Too many connections on files.auran.com" I think.

With reference to the original post (which is *not* the same issue as the reduced access for non-FCT holders). There is indeed an ongoing issue with CMP - in my case TS2009 - where it is not reading all the items on the DLS or updating to the external database. This has been going on for some weeks and mentioned on the board from time to time, unfortunately drowned in the "noise" from non-FCT holders.

Best thing TBH is to contact the Helpdesk and report the problem, in the meantime the workround is to use the TRS2004 black web pages, search for the items you need, add to the Download cart and click to download all, at which point CMP will open and you can start downloading.

"Server full" is just a generic message with no real meaning. There are some remedies such as resetting your Planet Auran profile (usually you'd use the same password) which refreshes your profile, but based on what you and many others are saying, there is something else going on. I'm betting that the holidays have brought kind of a perfect storm of increased DLS usage due to new copies of Trainz sold, increased DLS usage due to people having more time off for the holidays and/or weather, and the fact that the service or service level Auran uses isn't the greatest to begin with.

What I'd do (well, what I DID do) is buy a 3-month FCT, get all the stuff I thought I wanted off the DLS, then decided whether or not I wanted to keep it. I did: it makes a huge difference and it's cheap.

It's probably going to be like that for a short while, with the current weather problems in Queensland (Australia) - I even saw a report on it on UK news earlier.

The DLS servers are located in the USA...BUT....the flooding in Queensland may cause issues connecting to Planet Auran for registration validation.

Hope that all in the Trainz Team are safe and dry during this serious natural disaster.

Have fun,

I suspect the issue of CMP not seeing all the DLS assets which (as a gentle reminder) is what this thread was about before it got hijacked by the "server full", "No FCT - can't download" mob, is something that Auran coders or techs need to look at directly. With the terrible events currently unfolding in Queensland I think we can all cut a bit of slack and wait a few days/weeks while somewhat more pressing matters than a bug in a train game are attended to.
