Strasburg Railroad by Fired Up Trains

Hello,

I recently installed the Strasburg Railroad route by Fired Up Trains for Trainz Railroad Simulator 2019. When I first downloaded the route, I also downloaded the "dependencies" folder that the Author of the route included, and installed everything using the content manager. Despite this, I would load the route and there's no tracks, almost no buildings, rolling stock, or vegetation. I then went into the Content Manager and clicked "List Dependencies" Then selected "Download Station", which, in my mind, showed me the files I had been missing, and clicked download. Needless to say, this eventually turned into 400,000+ some files that I apparently needed, and I figured that was a mistake so I cancelled it.

Basically, how can I find out exactly which assets I am missing? How do I find each exact one and pinpoint them in the download station?

Right-click on the route in Content Manager and choose View Dependencies. This will open up a new window.

If you don't have it already, add the Status column in Content Manager. Right-click on one of the columns and then pick Status. This will add that column in Content Manager. You can then drag that to another position and resize it too to fit.

With Status column added, click on the to sort and arrange the content by status. This will group the content so that all the missing assets are together.

To download the assets, right-click on each one, or do this while selecting multiple of the assets, and then choose Download. This will download the assets from the DLS if they exist there.

Okay thank you. Now that I've installed all but one missing dependency, I'm having the issue that one of the Assets listed has a KUID that is unknown. I look it up on the download station and can't find anything with that KUID.

what is the kuid?

The text reads:
"Validating <kuid:313505:100330>

Dependency <kuid:47439:39> is unknown.

Skipping Precache Validation as asset has missing dependencies."

Don't really know what this means or how to find missing kuid number assets.

@prr40000 > When you have unknown kuids, that means they are 3rd party assets, not on the DLS.

You can run a Google search to find them, or use TrainzKuidIndex.

The kuid is on Trainzone.
The 1st search hit leads to the a kuidlist on Trainzone, here .https://www.trainzone.co.nz/kuid.htm
You see the kuid, and it's name.

Then searching Dalliance Trainzone leads to this page with all of his models. https://trainzone.co.nz/Dalliance.htm
Ctrl-F search for <kuid:47439:39> pulls you to about halfway down on that page, link on the right will get you the CDP to install from.

Since you ONLY want the one kuid, you will need CDP Explorer to open that CDP file, and then search-extract that one kuid to your desktop.
You then drag-drop the newly extracted cdp onto a content manager window to install.

CDP Explorer is found here > https://github.com/SilverGreen93/CDPExplorer Clik the green code tab, choose download ZIP, open with WinRAR app or similar.
Extraction is drag/drop to your desktop.

Yeah I went and downloaded the Dalliance pack, which has solved THAT issue. However, the route is still glitching, and looks virtually indifferent from before. Most of the roads are missing, there's some vegetation, but not all of it. No cabooses at the Red Caboose Motel and no Rolling stock on the tracks.

In the Content Manager, now the error message simply reads:

"Validating <kuid:313505:100330>

Skipping Precache Validation as asset has missing dependencies."

Seems pretty dumb to me. If there are no unknown assets anymore, HOW can there be missing dependencies?

This could mean that the dependencies are missing dependencies or the assets are really old and crappy and don't load well.

Using the same method to view dependencies, highlight the assets that are installed and choose download. This may bring down the dependencies of the dependencies. I've had luck doing this before.
