Just two DAYS?!? Wow, I've been trying since Dec 26 and can't get anything from the DLS. I have managed to d/l a small handful of things via CM 3.3, by repeatedly hitting "Start" after getting the "server appears to be full" message.

It's very much like repeatedly hitting redial when trying to be the 9th caller into a radio station, and your odds of being so is probably higher than being able to download anything.:'(

Sorry to sound simplistic, but couldn't it just be that the servers are full? I'm sure Auran have the matter in hand, but AFAIUI it's not a simple flick a switch and instantly more people can download. And besides they've all been on holiday until the day before yesterday, they've not been 'in' to make a start at fixing the issues.

This happens in some minor way or another every year. Christmas comes round, people get a copy of trainz, want to download a million and one things and the servers can't cope with the influx of people wanting to D/L stuff. It may be of no consolation to some, but if you really don't want to part with your money for a FCT then you wil just have to wait until either Auran expand the servers again (or whatever similar action is required on their part) or the traffic dies down over the next week or so. This year it has been worse than previous yes, but I bet auran have had their best sales year too...

'Free' DLS wise I managed to download a few things this morning when the Server Status Log wasn't showing the "Too many connections..." Message. Didn't need to do any silly passowrd reset techniques, just opened up CM3.3 and downloaded the files.

DLS sucks

I have bought my FCT on last sunday. Activated the ticket and gave it a day. Tuesday and today trying but constantly the server is full. I even renewed my profile. Are we clients or just stupid people giving money away?

Did you clear your download queue and reset your saved information in CM?

Having the same issue. Have lifetime FCT and download servers are all reporting full. Was not the case several days ago, though. :'(

Just downloaded two assets no problem. No problems at all connecting recently. Any of the folks having problems here want to try doing a traceroute to see if this is a connectivity issue? You can go to your command prompt and enter:

tracert 174.121.103.178.

Today was the first time in two weeks that I have been able to get a download link via FTP (which is the ONLY way I can download while at work). But then I get an error message saying IE cannot open the website.

I doubt Auran saw this overload coming, but as they are clearly a company without deep pockets, they should quit touting "free downloadable content" as feature of their games. For many of us, without the third-party assets to add to the program, Trainz would become stale and unused in a VERY short time.

Meanwhile, my Content Updates number just keeps getting higher.
