The download station has basically been rubbish since TRS2004 or thereabouts. Auran just won't commit the resources needed to hold up their end of the bargain.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, if $19.99 isn't enough for a decent level of service for the year, fine. I'll gladly pay twice that for a first class ticket - but ONLY if I get a truly FIRST CLASS service.

Working Somewhat

I sent an email after a week of not getting it to work. The reply was that I should get a First Class Ticket to ensure priority access.

However, miraculously it seems to be working this evening. It downloads very slowly at around 4.0 but as I only wanted to check out the new texture files I thought I could just let it run.

It stalls at the end of every file and goes to 0.0 speed. However, I found that if you close content manager and quickly re-open it, it moves to the next file and starts to download it.

When there's more content for TS2009 then I might go for the First Class Ticket. In this day and age though, this speed level for the basic download is certainly behind the times.

I been with trainz from the start, and i never had any problems with the
d/l station,,, it could be problems with your isp,, line noise too many user's on one server,,

can any one help i have vista have managed to register my serial number can run but the minute i try and save any thing in surveyor mode it says it cant ,read only route try onother name ,but doesent work plus i get error mesage invalid reigster key when i try to download anything :'(

Please search the forums for help on Vista. In a nutshell, you ened to install and run the program as an administrator.

My ISP and connection in general are fine. I have no problem accessing or downloading from other web sites or ftp servers.

Perhaps you live next door to the host server?

Howdy Everyone,
For weeks now CMP will work fine for one or two items then drop to nothing,I have to stop then restart CMP and repeat this multiple times for one or two items a day,I do have a first class ticket but i wont be buying another till the pathetic service has improved.

No problems here either. I downloaded a ton of missing dependencies and updated content last night with no problems and I"m connected and doing the same thing right now.

i only wish,,, but did you send teh help desk a message. i know that the sever i d/l from is in t he us, don't know where your d/l server is

Jan18th, Canada Still not working

I just purchased TRS2009 on January 17th. Receiving same unable to download, server full message from Canada. Did not have this problem back in 2007 when I purchased TRS2006. I have a First Class Ticket as well, but it seems useless at the moment. Any chance of us ticket holders receiving credit since the service we pay for is not being provided?
Do Auran reps even monitor these forums, because they could see there are some big problems for people.

I select my choice right click on it select download it then places it in the DLH. I also tried to drag it in the DLH and select start still nothing. I can see my selection in the Download Helper Action Panel but still nothing goes. There is a little active icon that acts like it is showing it is downloading but not. Everything is idle. You can walk away and come back in a hour and it is still trying to download but nothing is happening. Since I put on 2009 I can't download in 2006 either.

TODAY 1/11/09 INSTALLED TRAINZ CLASSICS with the hope that the download station would work I had a 105 days left on my FCT and now have 95 days. Still the download station is not working. I have deleted and reinstalled, checked the passwords and usernames also let the download run all night and still no content. If you contact Auran support help desk it takes a day and then they get all bent out of shape on you when they think you are not doing what they suggested. I have a lot invested in the program I own 2004, 2006, 2009, Trains Classic, plus several download tickets and Rail Driver. Please can someone help with this.

Same experience here, including "Helpdesk???".

Same programs installed on XP & Vista platforms. SAME problem since November 22nd!! My 1 year FCT is being counted down, I won't be making that purchase again! Save your money!

Hello folks,

I replied early on in this thread because I too was having trouble getting to the DLS and Planet Auran. As stated at the time I was able to get full access to the forum oddly enough, but my username/password combo was not working for anything else.

After some hair pulling, I walked away to consider this for a while. Since I was unable to actually connect to Planet Auran I did not think I could change my password but the time out lifted the blinders and I was able to see the "I forget my password" link on planet auran. Clicked on it and the system automatically sent me a password which was entirely random giberish - not what I was using for the forums at all. Used that password to logon to planet auran, changed my password back to what I was using on the forums and voila - - everything is now working once again for me.

I'm not going to say that you are having the same problem as me, but have tried changing the password in this fashion? I would never have believed it could be the case but it was.......

Give the reset a try and see what happens.

are you useing a firewall????? if so make sure you give acess to cmp in your
fire wall

Well, as a fan of Trainz 2006, I went and purchased 2009 yesterday. Took all night for my content to port over but most of it seems to work.

I also bought a First Class Ticket for 6 months, however, the Content Manager repeatedly reports "Server appears to be full, please try again later"

Now, I just shelled out $14 to download again, (had a 1 month ticket that expired yonks ago) and I can't. I would say that would be Auran not providing the service I paid for.

Totally Unacceptable.

NO I have no firewall running no virus software and no others I dought this computer for trains only that is the samething that helpdesk keeps asking me I had no problems befor I am a big fan of trainz but running on empty.

I recently placed two scenarios (Sugar Mills) on the DLS. Over the past two days a couple of Trainzers who downloaded the scenarios emailed to inform me that they could not download all the assets, namely the 213782 (American Connection) assets. When I went to the DLS I discovered that I could not bring up American Connection assets using either the asset kuid number or the user name in a search.
I have contacted Kent (American Connections) but have yet to receive word from him. Have the American Connection assets been removed from the DLS or is this a DLS problem that Auran needs to correct?

DLS 2009

This seems to be a long running problem. I can't download either and am told that the server appears to be full. Trying later hasn't made any difference over the last 5 days!!!

Having the same problems downloading with content manager.
I am only downloading at 4.0KBps which is slower than dialup.
I have 2 internet connections, Comcast Cable & Verizon DSL and both are very fast. I get the same results from Auran with both connections.

I actually tried to purchase a 3 month download ticket today to get some faster speed to the Auran server but their website was very slow and when I ordered the webpage just gave me errors and didn't go through. Geez

Since I paid for the game I thought I would be able to download the content at faster speeds than 4.0 KBps. That's just redicoulous being it is the year 2009. Seems to be a scam to get us to buy download tickets and get more money out of us. The supposed fast servers should be part of the $30 we pay for the game.
