Download Station - Items not appearing in my content

Hi, I'm a total beginner at Trainz and having difficulty downloading a few items from the Download Station. The download bit seems to be ok but I cannot find the downloaded items anywhere in my own contents list. Do I have to import them from somewhere to get them into my list? I would be grateful for any advice, thanks.

Likely reason is that you are not running Trainz with administrator priviliges if using Windows Vista or 7 (or Windows 8).

Have you check your downloads for errors or missing dependencies using the Content Manager?

Also ensure there are not items Open For Edit.

Hi, Thanks for the responses. I'm using Trainz12 under Vista and 7 - Nothing open for edit and no missing content but I wasn't running as administrator. Have now fixed that as per tutorial and downloaded a road and a bridge for testing which worked ok and which appear under the "Installed" tab of Content Manager. Have then created a new route (just a loop) and looked for the road and bridge under the Onjects Tab in Surveyor but still no sign of either the road or bridge. Also, as I'm now running as administrator, I get a user Account Control message saying "Unidentified Publisher" - Allow or Cancel every time I launch Trainz. Is there any way of stopping this?

That's normal proceedure - it's part of User Account Control, and as such should not really be stopped as the risk involved is too high.

Thanks Shane. Still no sign of my downloaded road and bridge in Surveyor even though they appear in the Installed tab of Content Manager. As it's a new route, created after I changed to run as administrator I thought they would now appear as Objects in Surveyor. Have you any idea how I can find and use them?

Sounds like the favourites feature again - to turn that off, you will need to use the Surveyor tab in the in-game options panel (which is in the in-game main menu). The option required is usually at the bottom of the list.

Have checked the Surveyor tab but no mention of Favourites there. The last item is the AutoSave time so not sure why Favourites missing as they are mentioned in the manual. However, have just found out why I can't find downloads as I didn't realise that the Object Tab in Surveyor had 2 separate lists "Objects" and "Splined Objects". The road and bridge were both present in the "Splined Objects" list which I've never noticed before.
I'm sorry to have wasted your time but thanks very much for your help. I'm sure there will be many more posts still to come as I'm having some difficulty trying to find solutions to various actions and the forum seems to be the only decent help on offer. Thanks again.

You haven't wasted my time at all.

I believe it's probably because TS12 had the favourites feature altered, so it did not appear in the expected place.
