Download problem

I am new to Trainz, so forgive me for asking a very basic question, which has probably already been answered elsewhere if only I knew how to find the relevant thread. Whenever I try to dowload a file, I get the following message:

04:57:36 PM - Starting Trainz Helper (v2.4 build 2365)
04:57:42 PM - The requested packages are not available on the download station.
04:57:42 PM - Error: Unable to contact download station

Can somebody tell me what the problem is?

It may help if you tell us the Kuid No.s of the items you require, they may be "Payware only", or if free, they may only be available from a creators own web site.

I'm talking about downloading items from the Download Station using the Download Helper option. Aren't all the items in the Download Station freeware? - certainly the items I tried to download gave no indication that they were anything other than freeware.

I`ve had the same message myself.
After downloading an item that has dependencies, TrainzObjects has searched for them on the DLS, and that message has appeared.
This has happened because the person who made the kuid that is missing, has removed it from the DLS, and it can only be found on their own web page.

People have done this after a fall out with Auran.
