Do you listen to music while playing Trainz?

Southern Serves the South
Straight from your computer, game system, or mp3 or stereo player? Even the radio will do.

It gets boring with no music so I usually pump up my iPod and jam while creating routes.Strangerly enough I tend to listen to disco and rap more when playing Trainz than during anything else.:o

Top idea, you could have a poll on this coz I would be intreeged to find out what you all listen to while jammin on trainz being a train obsessed musician. For me it's Floyd, Clash, Lead Zep, Cure, Talk Talk, Midnight Oil, Adamski, Prodogy, Massive Attack, Divine Comedy and Faithless and not to mention Doobie Brothers. If it's too commercial then it's generally crap

Fave tune at the mo is:-

I listen to the usual you know,AC/DC,Dio,Black Sabbath,Boston,Led Zep, the normal stuff played on any Classic Rock Station...:) I roll old school as opposed to these people who rhyme and think they can sing just because they can rhyme:hehe:

RR Sound Effects CD's

I pop in sound effects audio CD's from BigTrainSound.com, and use a MRC Sound Station, and the MRC Syncro Sound simulator for added sound effects. There are several scanner feeds, such as featured on the stationinnpa.com website.

Usually yes, sometimes out of my iPod, other times through computer.

Some artists I listen to are: Journey, Maroon 5, RED, O.C. Supertones, Skillet, Chicago, tobyMac, and Billy Joel.

Cheers,

I'm not a route builder, so only drive trains, but, I like the realism of the sounds, the horns, the heavy enginesounds of locos going up steep gradients, the clickety clack of the junctions, the birdsongs, the farmyard sounds of tractors and sheep, etc, etc.
I cannot listen to that and music as well it's too offputting, this is Trainz, music is for another occassion.....

Cheerz. ex-railwayman.

My palate is pretty varying. I listen to classical bits like compositions from Brahms and Beethoven, but I also pipe brass band tunes through my head, namely German, British and American military marches. Sometimes I go a bit too far for some of the people in my vincinity and play train sound recordings, my favorite being one of a steam doubleheader heading uphill with a rake of loaded boxcars, you can even hear it in the basement! Aside from that I listen to nigh anything that a 70's/80's station would broadcast.

Denver

KIIX 1410 AM - (where singers still wear suits and ties)

I've won a couple prizes by listening to this station while working on the route or spending time on the forums... the usual 3rd caller gets free CD kind of stuff.

I like listening to the Alex Jones radio show while route building. 4 hour free Daily podcast from www.infowars.com

All I have to say is... I sure hope they are wrong  , but things sure are not looking so good now are they /cry

I also like to jam when building, Rush, Floyd, Styx, Ac/Dc.. just about most classic rock, sometimes a bit of techno-trance, and I might even have some Bach and some other classics on my ipod as well :-)

I sometimes turn Youtube on and play a music video and then run Trainz. When the video finishes, I just press the windows button (goes back to the desktop) and either replay the video or change the video then just click on the Trainz icon in the taskbar.

When that's not happening, I just listen to anything in my music folder - Trainz sounds are not as good as the real thing, you see.

or you could just use an ipod, then you don't have to keep on minimizing it to change the song, thats what i do with me mp3.:hehe: :)
