What music do you listen to while playing Trainz?

Black Sabbath, Deep Purple or Uriah Heap - if I just want to chill in surveyor... And if I want to crank it up while driving; Rammstein...
Cheers, Mac...

I listen to a mix of:
Rise Against
Green Day
The Police
Bon Jovi
Journey
Dragonforce
Instrumental Accompaniments and VGMs (Alizee, Enya, Pokemon)\
And
House mixes of modern pop songs

I listen to Mozart. ;) Just kidding. Actually, I don't listen to music in Trainz. I listen to the music of the loco's. When not playing Trainz, however, my taste is more in sinc with Vinny Barb's. On occasion, however, there might be some Ramones or Sex Pistols. Go figure! :D

Cheers,
Fred

P.S. I was listening to Mozart in my car the other day. I don't know...I guess I was in a Mozart kinda mood.

I rarely listen to music in driver, when I do, it's probably alot calmer stuff like Third Day, Jeremy Camp, TAN, etc....

Mmmmmm... Sabbath and Purple. Two of my all time favorites, but keep Ian Gillan out of my Sabbath, same with Dio.

When building routes in Surveyor, I like to listen to music from the era and/or locale of the railroad I'm modeling, when I have it. For example, I'm currently building a route based on a prototype in California and on a bit of a country kick, so the "Bakersfield Sound" is in heavy rotation. When I was building my Abilene route, I listened to a lot of Hank Williams (Sr.), Patsy Cline, and other mid-20th Century country artists. Sometimes, though, I just put iTunes on shuffle, so it could be just about anything from Bach to Brubeck to Broken Social Scene.

When in Driver, I don't listen to music, as I like to hear the trains and other sound effects.

Hey, I love Ian Gillan in Deep Purple. Just keep those guys out of my Sabbath. I can dig Dio, but it aint Sabbath.

While 'Born Again' was mostly a lousy album, I still think that Trashed stands above most of the Dio-era drek, and some of the latter-day Ozzy-era. Also 'Stonehenge' was stereotypically Sabbath - but there again I don't think Ian contributed anything there, unless there is a lone triangle-hit somewhere I've never noticed.

Would not want to spoil the great sounds in driver, but right now I'm listening to a band called "Cry Before Dawn". Bet there isn't many of you heard of them. 80's rock band from Ireland.

If you like Hank Williams Sr., check out Hank III if you haven't already.

I love good rock & roll period. All of the British bands you mentioned are great. I couldn't imagine life without Zep, Sabbath, The Beatles etc... But think about the London Howlin' Wolf sessions, or The Beatles covering Little Richard and wanting a name that was like Buddy Holly's Crickets... We have more to offer than just Hendrix, and I do love Jimi, and my name is spelled Jimi. I don't want to get into a USA vs. UK thing either, just making a point. And let's not forget the mighty AC/DC from down unda.

I like US rock & roll and blues, motorbreath........just not 60's & 70's rock.

UK ruled the airwaves during that period.

I really love, Elvis, Gene Vincent, Eddie Cochran, Little Richard, Buddy Holly, Chuck Berry, Howlin Wolf, Buddy Guy, Etta James, Muddy Waters, Otis Rush, John Lee Hooker, Jimmy Reed, Willie Dixon, B.B King...etc etc etc

Original Fleetwood Mac with Peter Green were also fantastic, but not the sanitised US soft rock band they morphed into. ;)

Mike.
