Do you have multiple user IDs?

I noticed something a few weeks ago but haven't found an answer yet. My Auran user ID is 481384, but I am seeing the ID 451354 in some places. My FCTs have an "Order Invoice Number" prefixed with 481354. Also, if I click "Your Banners" in my profile, I get "Your RefererID: 451384". As you may notice, above, I also only have one Auran product registered.

Anybody notice this little quirk? Doesn't seem to affect anything though.

I do know that the "internal" user account ID is slightly different from the "Trainz" User ID. Often, the "internal" one is simply the "Trainz" one minus 3,000. For example, the Trainz User ID for JoshEH is 47092. The "internal" User ID would be 17092. Similarly, my Trainz User ID is 254080. My "internal" one, however, is 224080 (with the 5 being replaced by a 2). ;)

One way to find the "internal" ID of a user is by viewing his profile here on the forums, and then noting the number in the URL after the question mark. Your "internal" ID is 451384. ;)

Regards.

Way back in the history of Trainz, Auran decided that all KUIDs should count from 30,000. At that time they offered the opportunity to select a number below that, as you will note with some of the longer term users. It was a one time offer. What you have discovered is the result of that change.

Very interesting information, Peter. :D ;) Should I mention that I mis-quoted the difference in my post as 3,000, instead of the correct 30,000? :o

Regards.

I was wrong too, 30,000 was the number and I believe that originally the numbers were allocated in alphabetical order by user name. That means my number 44700 put me in the original batch and at that time they had over 14700 users as my initial is "P". That looks a little strange, I would not expect them to have that many back then.
