DLC Recommendations

Hello everyone,

I've been lurking in the Trainz forums for a while now and just purchased TS12 and a 1st Class Ticket (90 Days). I'm looking for some recommendations on the best DLC to get during my 1st Class Ticket period. I enjoy all types of routes and activities and prefer real world routes to fictional ones.

Thank you all for your help. If this question has been asked and answered already, please feel free to point me in the right direction. I've searched the forums but haven't managed to find anything.

I'd say the CONTZ Pack Standard Edition. I love it!! It's Chinese but nevertheless very good.

Just let me clarify something for you: I assume you mean stuff downloaded off the DLS; the term DLC, as used here, refers to Auran-made payware, and, right now, there are no Auran-made routes.

That said, my favorite is wridenour's Northeast Corridor from Washington to Baltimore.

Where do your preferences lie in the world? There are far too many routes out there to choose from without knowing what your after specifically.

Thanks for the responses so far. Yes, I meant DLS. Although any particularly good payware from other companies would also be welcome. I'd be willing to look at a good route anywhere in the world, but I'd say my main preference would be for North America or the UK.

Without meaning to hijack this thread, I've just downloaded that route and there are 20 missing items:

This is a new route, any ideas where you got the missings from I've tried the black pages but with no joy.

It's always a good idea when seeking help to give as much detail as possible.

For instance:

"My main preference would be for routes from North America or the UK. I find long routes rather tedious, boring in fact, so I'm looking for routes that are reasonably compact, preferably in an industrial environment - with dirt, grime, decay, ports and factories. There should be plenty of interactive industries and good operating possibilities. They can be based on a real routes or fictional, though if the latter they should follow prototypical practices. Interactions with AI would also be welcome. I'd like a few pre-made sessions too. I'm not into hunting for dependencies that are hosted on other hard to find external sites, so everything should be built-in or from the Download Station."

If the above is the case, search for routes and sessions by "philskene". Make sure you get the TS12 ones.

The 106916 kuids are by gfisher and are available on uslw.net. I don't remember off the top of my head where the others were located but Googling a kuid, or even using the half-baked search feature here, will usually turn up what you need. I think there are one or two kuids you won't be able to find, but which are irrelevant anyway.

Thanks RR but the link didn't go anywhere, I found this on google before posting.
I didn't know gfisher had a website as I presumed he only used the DLS. I will carry on with the search as this is the kind of route I enjoy, sorry if you think I was being lazy.
