difference between TS10 and TS12

Anyone who has run TS12, please describe the qualitative differences. I realize that TS12 has multiplayer and some new routes. Anything else that would make TS12 superior over TS10? In short, since I love TS10, what would lead me to get TS12 besides multiplayer and new routes?

Are all the patches that would have to be added into 2010, incorperated into TS12? I'm running TRS09 now and haven't purchased TRS10. That's one thing that would definately make me consider purchasing TS12.

;) If you mean all the enhancements and improvements, including multiplaying, the answer is yes. :D

If you mean all the built-in content in TS2010 going into T12, the answer is no.

According to N3VRF41L official Chris [WindWalkr], they're going to send these missing assets to the DLS for those who want to move their routes from T10 into T12.

Confirmed. ;) Maybe the best enhancement (if not the only one compared to T10). But, please, be aware that this Doppler effect must be recreated with a suitable quality computer sound system, including a medium-high quality sound card. The standard cheap loudspeaking ones can hardly make use of this enhancement.

if your computer played sounds in trainz before, then the doppler will most likely work. i dont know what all of this "you need a good sound system to do so" message is about. i have yet to have it not work on any system including cheap storebought mini boxes that i won in an argument...

Hi Justin, guy.

;) I thought you were always the clever boy in the class over here of late. I'm so sorry you don't know what it is about, you should learn... ;)

In the meanwhile, my ears and eyes are opened up to your 'wise' cleverest of the class knowledge. :D

This sounds to me like new wave guys trying to compare Mp3 bitrate sound to old CD .wav's. Regarding sound I do think new wavers are little ambitious. We old-time musicians are really shocked. But this has nothing to do with the Doppler effect many of us know very well, but with having good devices which can distinguish, texturing and waving sound effects clearly.

The Fender Stratocaster always learning but not arguing side of Alberte , just playing my wah wah pedal now with a bluesy 'spoonful' of riffs.

That seems to be an "opinion" rather than a confirmation that Doppler will work....since.... at the time of this post....it seems that you have not purchased/registered. TS12.

Perhaps the beta version your using works, but the release version may have changed that.

TS12 is NOT showing up next to your name as a "TS12" station marker.

I am sure you will purchase and support N3V in the near future.

Have fun,

;)

He will be supported instead as surely it is deserved, Ron, no doubt and I wish it would sincerely. Beta testers -when on duty-, I'm afraid I know very well by myself, are overstressed trainzers who need love and understanding.

Besides JR is a friendly co-seller to N3VRF41L. ;)

Alberte,

I meant no disrespect to Justin or JR.

I have seen pix of the JR route in TS12 and it looks excellent.

The point of my post is.... as you know Alberte, .... things can change from the beta testers final version to the release version.

Have fun,

Thanks for the reply to the doppler effect question:) .That is a great enhancement indeed might have to look into it more.Does it work with custom horns off of DLS or any custom horns I should say?Can you still download everything you would of been able to have in trainz 2009 and before or is it strictly new stuff? Thanks for any in depth replys!

Ok four questions:
1. Is there a lag when in surveyor changing from spline to object tab and Rail object to rail splne tabs? The lag issue sprung up in TRS2010 after the hot fix update.
2. Is the draw distance still at around 1500 metres when viewing the outside world from within a cab?
3. When merging do the valleys and raised edges appear on the merged route baseboards? (the mergee route as opposed to the the merger route - that one is especially for you, Alberte)
4. Do speedtrees appear and disappear unrealistically when travelling in any camera mode?
