Derailing on DL Routes

Having fun in TANE...I downloaded a few routes. While in edit route mode on the DL routes everything looks good. I place a loco and some cars and hit drive. As soon as the train hits a track spline the train derails. I checked to make sure the splines are joined by splitting them and re-joining them.

It's been awhile for me but I forgot what the yellow vs the white splines mean...what the different colors mean. At risk of sounding like a moron I need a little help. Something in the back of my mind tells me I had this problem a long time ago when using '09 and I was able to fix it, just can't remember how.

Check that the spline points are yellow.

Clicking on or near the spline points with the adjust-height tool will turn them yellow and level the track.
