:mad: Everytime I start my session in trainz 2004, Dave is lost out in the middle of no-where! I have to restart session for him to be at appointed location. Does anyone else have this problem or know how to fix this?:confused:
 
Now I'm confused here. How can your TRS2004 be working if you mentioned in your other posts that no serial number came with it. I'm totally confused. :confused:

I have a similar problem but not with a driver. When I click on "find object" - "vehicles" - I appear to have an extra locomotive tender that I certainly did NOT put there. When I click the green arrow to take me there I end up in the middle of nowhere with no sign of a tender of any description. I've even changed the map to the wire frame view just in case it's hidden underground somewhere but no; no vehicle at all.

I'm guessing it's a special feature of TRS that gets you to a hidden level. :cool:

Your problem is with a driver so have you tried going into the driver set-up menu in surveyor and making sure everyone has a loco to belong to? I dunno it might help.

This kind of "feature" is greatly annoying but doesn't seem to affect the running of the session (or does it in your case?).

Maybe he had it at one time (he said it's been 3 years) and never registered it....once you use it to install the program, the serial number is recorded in settings/config....maybe he found it that way....:cool:

To buy the TRS program on CD and it works is one thing, to register your purchase with Auran is all togeather another and they seen to be so different as to be independent companies from each other! In my opition, each CD should have an automation registration so then it could not be duplicated by two people, I.E.- I could give my CDs to a friend to download and Auran will lose money. or even more, I could sell a copy and make money, and again Auran lose but if there was an automatic registeration, the progran then would only load again to the person that had the number in their profile. inteleg?

Ha ha Ha, tell me about it, three years worth! I like the idea, but is not the same as building a layout in real. I miss the ones I do in America, but the fire took all that away from me. Some day I want to try again, but I think will be a scale that I can ride, just need some land for it!

OK, Tell me how to get to this to look for the number. you are the first person to direct me to an answer and for this (and your pic) i added ya to my buddies.
 
C:\Program Files\Auran\TRS2004\Settings\config.dat <-- that file has what you need. Once you open it you can click on Serial Number and put that key into it. Once you've put it into it and answered what Product and where you purchased it from once those are filled click on Submit.

Up-Loading

:confused: OK Dave, help me with this. How do I up-load my session I have made? How do I even get to it, all I can do is open everything under auran. If I do up-load this, can I up-date it later and/or retrieve it back if I lose the file in my PC?
:( By the way, I moved dave to another train just to find out that it is the train that gets lost, not the driver, guess I will just have to deal with it!

Q: How do you upload your content to the Download Station?
A: Before uploading your content you'll have to pack it into a .CDP archive. The same Content Dispatcher you use for installing .CDP files will also make them for you. It's pretty easy to use, but if you get into trouble there's help available. I've put together a step-by-step tutorial on using Content Dispatcher that can be downloaded Here. Hope to see a DLS contributor ticket beside your posts soon.
