Darjeeling and Himalayan Railway Trainz Forum is closing

There are malicious idiots every where. Why do they do it? I have no idea.

Hi,

I was wondering if you had given any consideration to uploading the route to the DLS . I appreciate there are hundreds of items, but I think that if it was on the DLS (2010 :)) it would be a great selling point for N3V in future releases of Trainz.

Cheers, John

John

We did consider using the DLS but the group decision was to host it ourselves. With over 2500 downloads it does not appear to be the wrong decision.

If Auran think that it would be good for their business, they only have to ask. Whether any one in the group would be prepared to go through the convoluted process of uploading the content is another question.

It has been debugged to TS2010 standards, meaning no errors, only warnings remaining.

Peter

Peter, that's 26,242 at last count; not 2500. I don't think it would serve any real purpose to put it on the DLS. We can host it just as well. I suppose I could also put it on my site, but no real reason to do that either.

DHR Trainz

Today is 4-15-12 and no replies are here, B779 Himilayan Bird is one of my favorite engines and I would like to drive it and its native line. I don't know the password to unzip it though.
Sincerely,

Since this thread showed the most current date on the subject route I thought I should post here. I just downloaded your TS12 version (from the DLS!). Came up with 41 "unknown" assets. Perhaps you could direct me to their location? Thanks.

I can only answer you by saying you will get every thing you need from the DLS

All the content is on the DLS and you should not be getting anything 'unknown' . The last time I ran a dependency check on the latest TS12 version, there were no missing or unknown items. As far as I am aware every item required for the DHR has been uploaded and accepted except for three items that will cause some of the locomotives to show missing dependencies. They will be uploaded when the creator has a chance to do so.

I am not doubting you, you report what you see, I just can't understand why you should get anything unknown. Can you post a screen dump of the list showing the unknown items.

This thread is not the most upto-date one, look for a thread entitled 'The Darjeeling Himalayan Railway is ready for passengers'
which will tell what has been done.

We are no longer supporting the early versions of the route now that it has been uploaded to the DLS.

Peter

Items are still appearing on the DLS, probably best to check every day or so, from a quick check there are still some updated ground textures to appear and a few trackside objects such as invisible speed limits and point levers (switch levers) The loco with the problem is missing it's interior which I expect will appear soon enough. Best to follow the other thread.

Thanks very much for the reply. I will do some "retry's" and also give it a few days, and navigate to the new thread if I have problems after a week.
