Gilpin Tram Route - Remarkable Colorado Mining Route in Development

Love those old pictures of Mining,

Is not amazing what the Early Settlers accomplished, what a hard life too they lived,,,,,,,No Safety Rules like today, no environmental, and host of other things, just plain simple Raw Hide Country, get in there and get the Job done, if you were lucky enough to find Gold, not Fools Gold either, and then live long enough to enjoy it, if you somebody didn't kill you for your Gold.....

That truly was another time.......

The Route your working on looks really interesting.........

I will be sure to follow this Thread for sure..........:D

Enjoy your Father's Day weekend too.........Drinks are on the house........

Hi Jango:

Once again you AMAZE with your attention to detail. I so look forward to more images. Keep up the great route building work!

Cheers,

Derek

Thanks Derek,
but the seasonal version of the White Pass is always a great love.
Sooner or later we will finish the upgrade!

Been a while for an update on this lovely route...

Any progress reports for us @jango ?

We still plan to continue work on the Gilpin events world wide and in our lives delay work for the moment but we are still here. Jango has given us a great boost with his superb detailing and updating of the scenery and Paul and I plan to do some remodeling of the Town buildings ...and other features of the route. Mark is as always the source and arbiter of data, with his amazing reseach and original work and Linda's mines and other structures stand the test of time as fine work as well. So be patient and we will continue as time and effort allow.

Sorry for the long silence we may be able to get more work done on this, we are discussing it now. Still love to see this released if possible. Sorry for delay...life happens to us all.

Chris

This is awesome! The Gilpin "Russel" locomotive was one of my favorite models back in TRS2006, I had no idea it was part of such a sprawling legacy!

Hopefully this cool route will be finished some day, but even if it's not, I'm glad I had the opportunity to learn from you all!

Sorry but I had very remarkable personal problems, which have moved me away from the team in general.
The new versions of Trainz gave me the push to review the many projects started, including Gilpin will have a certain priority.
The collaboration with the team will be necessary.

We are very glad to hear from you Jango and to welcome you back, we will research and see what we can find for the needed resources for the Gilpin, thanks so much for deciding to review your projects. So good to have you back,
Chris

Nice. I take it there's no news on the Rollins Pass summer version?

Also - since you're working with the content set they came from, do you have this roof texture:

In this size/version:

Hi Casey do you know what structure it came from? i can hopefully find it for you but was not sure what it was for good to hear from you

i still owe you those mills i have not forgotten

Chris

The roof small roof texture is used on the Old Lucky Mill and one of Shortline2's boarding houses, among a few others. If I knew any that used the big version, then I wouldn't need to ask.:) As for any shops and storefronts on the Rollins route, if you could send me the needed files I'd like to convert them to summer versions myself. My current projects are on forced hold for the next couple days anyway.
