Crossing Gate for Interlocking

I was wondering if anyone has seen any crossing gates for interlockings similar to this available for download. This one was actually used on the Frisco (SLSF) railroad.

I haven't seen one like that, have you looked at all of BNSF's stuff? He's the crossing king.
 
Yeah I couldn't find anything. I'm working on a DEM route where the Frisco crossed the MKT. It was in dark territory and this is what was used.
 
OK I've built some interlocking gates like the one Dricketts shows here plus a few other designs and they are on the DLS. There's a demo board and session that shows them working under AI control.
You have to use Boats ATLS and ASB system for them to work properly. You can study the demo board and Boats excellent instructions to see how its done.
I want to thank Dricketts for getting me the excellent blueprints and information for these gates. It made building them a snap.

OK I've built some interlocking gates like the one Dricketts shows here plus a few other designs and they are on the DLS. There's a demo board and session that shows them working under AI control.

There's really no change to it except I added the session to the kuid table because I saw folks downloading it without the session which without the session the demo is non functional. How ever I just checked it and it downloaded just fine on mine.

You mean Boats ASB. Thanks, And you're welcome.
And if you don't want the ASB box to show on your route you can sink it below ground using the height tool and it will still function the same.
 
Just to let you know I downloaded the latest demo from the DLS and I'm having problems with it also. The session no longer shows up in game there is only the route. Not sure what happened. I had the demo session you emailed me working just fine.
I tried deleting all the cdp's I downloaded from the DLS and reinstalled from the zip file you emailed me but still no session showing in game. The route looks different too. It looks like you added textures and there is something not right about the double crossover.
I suspect you've made some changes to the cdp's files before you uploaded to the DLS. Hope the pic helps.

I'll bet you're running in native mode which is fine but you have to make sure there are no errors in anything to do that. The beta demo I emailed you had everything repaired.
It looks like you're missing the MB Crossing 90 or it has an error. If I remember correctly it had a animation kin in it that it dosen't need since all it is is a piece of track. Just open it in CM and remove the empty tags and the anim kin and it will show up.
Check to make sure there are no other assets missing or with errors.
As to your email whether it will work without atls, the simple answer is no. The reason is you want the gate to close quickly after the train leaves the interchange so that the cross traffic can proceed. Without atls this can not happen.

This is part of the invisible train. What's odd though is I had these same errors before I downloaded off the DLS and it worked fine. I can't even get the session to show up in game.

I can't figure out why when I delete everything and reinstall the beta that worked at first I get the exact same results. There's now ground texture, something is missing from the double crossover, and there is no session just the route.

Edit:

I tried deleting all the assets and re downloading and installing from the DLS and I'm still getting the same results. Shouldn't there be a demo route and session?

That's part of every piece of rolling stock car. Right click on it and then edit and then revert to original. Also make sure you have everything committed. I think that's why the 90 cross is not showing and you have no session, because they are not committed. I have auto commit set in options so that everything is automatically committed whenever I start the Sim up.

After I open for edit and "revert to original is grayed out" i can't select it.

I assume I have everything committed. There is nothing in my "open for edit tab"

Don't open for edit first. Make sure it's committed and then do the revert to original thing.

Did that and I was able to use "revert to original" but it still shows an error in cdp.
I don't think this explains why the session is not showing up in game though. Remember I had the beta version working just fine until I tried to install the updated version from the DLS.

Here's my CM3 settings. They look correct to me.

I see what your problem is now, don't know why I didn't notice it before. The route and session off of the DLS will not work for you because you only have 09. I made this route and session in 10. Routes and sessions are not backwards compatible even though you can download them. All of the gates I made will work because I uploaded them as a 2.7 version. I don't know how the first demo I sent you even worked.:confused:

As far as that asset still showing an error, don't know what's up with that. Maybe do a data base repair.
 
My understanding is 09 is the same as 10 except for the layering feature with the latest SP or build which I have. I've been using Dermmy's EK3 Route with no problems at all and it was built with 2010. I haven't noticed any other issues with sessions or content. I think there might be more to it than that or the beta wouldn't have worked.

I noticed the beta route shows obsolete in CM. I wonder if that has something to do with it.

I didn't know that 10 routes would work in 09 and I don't have 09 on my computer any more to check it. But if they do then you have something else wrong as there have been over 500 downloads of the demo and session now with no one else reporting a problem and my wife just downloaded it in 10 on her computer and it works just fine.
The obsolete only obsoleted the original so that wouldn't cause a problem except your demo was obsoleted. If you delete the one you just downloaded then the original will be back but will show an update arrow. If it still dosen't work then as I said you have something else wrong.
 
I noticed after deleting the new one the original still shows obsolete not update available. Not sure if that provides any clues.

I'm perplexed and I think it's time to give up on the demo. I just don't know why I'm having issues with the demo route and the session just doesn't show in game even though it's listed as local content on CM. What's frustrating is the beta files you sent me worked just fine. I guess if it's not broke don't fix it.

I think you have circular references for dependencies on your route and session. The route is a dependency of the session, but the session is not a dependency of the route. The route can exist without the session, but the session can not exist without the route. You have them listed as dependencies of each other which is probably making CM go crazy.

Several of your crossing gate assets also have the route listed as both a dependency and a dependent
