Correct use of the DLS

I don't know if I am using the DLS correctly.
Each time I correct a track fault, to test the result I then save, close the program, restart, goto DLS, Today, Open for Edit, Commit.
I finish up with a long list and tend to lose my way as I have no clue as to which is the fresh entry, could be dropping the fault back in.
Can I delete as soon as the route is commited.
Better ask before I do some damage

I'm not sure why Track Splines would show Errors at all, but Usually it's just a Typo or Something.

After editing, you only Commit once and the Job will be done.

It seems that you are talking about CMP/CM3 but calling it DLS.

First, go to your Trainz\bin folder and make a shortcut to Content Manager.exe. Use this shortcut to go straight into Content Manager without going through the Launcher. Previously you should set to automatic commit on closing.

Open CM, find and select the faulty item and drag it across to the PickList, bottom left. If there is content in the pick list Clear the list first. Now select view in Main List. That will give you just one item.

After you have made your correction, press CTRL+L, this will take you straight into the game. If changes are still needed, Exit Game will take you straight back to CM with your chosen asset in the list by itself.

I hope this answers your problem.

The faults are usually splines not joined to crossings.
Perhaps a good idea would be to rename each time a save is made.
I finish with a list in the DLS all named the same.

Thanks, yes I incorrectly named Content Manager, my bad, I'll follow this advice and save myself a lot of time.
