Copying between routes?

Youtube dude
Is it possible to copy one or more boards from one route to another? This would need to include the track, buildings, etc. I'm running 2010.

Hi Joe

I don't think it's possible to copy from one route and paste into another existing route. However if you want to use some boards from an existing route in a new route you could use the "Save as" option to give an existing route a new name and then delete the boards that you don't want.

G'Day All, what is this "layers thingy' for then, would have thought it would have been a bit like a clipboard for trainz. If it only works within the route it comes from then it's usefulness is rather limited one would think. Interesting to see what info pops up about this. :hehe:

If you merge your route with the one you want to copy from.

Then you can copy\paste what you want from the other route and then delete all its boards after.

Leaving you with the boards for your own route.

No you cannot copy all you want from one to another. Splines will not copy across only textures, terrain and objects can be copied. As said before save the route under a different name and delete all unwanted boards. Save, open the other route and delete any boards to create a space for the saved route and merge them.
