Controlling Frame Rates.

Hi all,

Is there a way of controlling the frame rates when running a session eg;--
I am getting a fluctuation in frames from say 30 to 47 and I would like to be able to select say 40 fps the aim is to make for a constant and smoother running session.
Can anyone help please?

Kind regards
Mike

TS10 or TC3? TS10 seems to run fairly smooth even at low fps.

Which trainzoptions.txt entries still work in later versions is a bit of a mystery, but two worth trying are

-framerate=xx
and/or
-framestoaverage=xx

where xx is the fps required. I recall a discussion some time ago where 23 was a bit of a magic number for framerates...

Hi all,

Andy, I have read some where that a program "dxtory" could be used to control frame rates. The program can be set to what ever frame rate the user wants and this might help smooth out the simulator.
I don't know if this will work on Trainz2010 so I thought I would post this thread to get a response.

Kind regards
Mike
