Content Manager v3.3 - Extremely Slow

I am not sure if I understand or not, but I have TS2009 and my Content Manager v3.3 is unbelievably slow downloading. Even 48Kb files can take more than an hour. I have 14Mbit download speeds on my broadband and my Internet is working fine. No virus scanning impacting anything. I've seen speeds of like .03Kbps as the highest speed on the Content Manager.

Is this really more of a gentle hint that I should be paying for increased download speeds?

At the moment the DLS, as are the forums is very slow, even on an FCT, I've just spent ten minutes or so downloading a texture at sub dialup speed, think we are about due for a server crash. Being the weekend, unless we are very lucky, there probably won't be anyone at N3V to sort it out until Monday.

I'm waiting for the crash too. It'll happen at 1:00 am when no one is around to reboot.

But how fast should it normally be? Should it be zipping along through 5-10Kb files or is it always kind of chugging along? I guess I am just trying to understand what kind of performance I should really be expecting.

Without a First Class Ticket (FCT), speed should be about 5kb/sec with a 100mb per day maximum.
With a FCT speed should be at about the maximum the connection between you and the server can handle without a daily limit.
