Content Creator Plus Problems

Easiest way of checking is to run dxdiag from the Start menu, then click Display.

To run it, click Start, then Run, then type 'dxdiag' into the box then click OK.

OK - I'm going to have to try another method.

You will need to go into the Trainz folder (usually C:/Program Files/Auran/TRS2006/), then go into the Bin folder, then run Trainzdiag.exe. Which one is reported there?

Entire Open GL failure (which is fine with me since direct x works fine), failure for direct x in Spherical Environmental Mapping, 0 MB of AGP Memory, and my video driver is 29 months old. Those are all the problems and everything else passed.

That's what I was expecting - does it say what graphics card it has picked up?

Shane

EDIT: OpenGL is required for CMP and CCP - I will be offline for a few hours, so someone else may answer quicker than me.

OpenGL is a part of your video cards driver software. Get the latest video driver for your card (go to the video manufacturers web page and select support) and install it per their instructions. It's usually just click on it to install, no special actions required on your part.

That is correct - OpenGL is not available seperately.

Before you proceed with driver update, make sure you have done a system restore point.

To update the Intel card, visit http://www.intel.com/support/detect.htm and follow the instructions.

I'm not sure on the other one though - a visit to Microsoft Update may be needed for that.

Thanks Shaneturner12 i did update by wired connection card, but I have no clue how to find out what my video card is, nor how to update it. Does it require me to buy a new one?

To find what display adapter you have, open the Control panel, select Device Manager and click on Display adapters.

Bob

The link I provided should update any Intel drivers on the system - it's the Update utility.

Bob is correct though on how to find out what graphics/video card you have.

This is all quite annoying and I can't seem to figure it out, but you need not worry because today is my birthday and I got a brand new computer that will let me run ts2010 and will automatically have an updated video card! :):):):):):):):):)
