CMv3.6 / Search/ Author/ enter the name...no joy

Hello
I have authors name.
I don't have kuid code.
how would I search / list authors assets if all i have is author name.
I know #--------- will list authors assets.

Which is weird to me because that should work in Asset KUID search.
as a matter fact if you have just the 1st 3 kuid numbers it should
list all assets with that number.

I just realized that I wasn't using the complete name.
cloakedghost instead of cloakedghost275

most search engines would let me get away with just part of the name.
