cleaning up ones downloads folder

Hi Folks:

Not certain if this this the proper venue for this so if its not moderators please move it as appropriate.

Like most Trainzers when I first got Trainz I went download crazy. Now that I almost never run a route (too bust making things in Gmax for folks) I'd like to clear out my downloads folder so it doesn't take 8 to 10 minutes every morning to create the Chump files. I'd like to know if there is a way I can access all the routes shown in Surveyor and print out a listing of what kuids they use so I can delete them (then delete the route as well). I realize many of these routes are built-in so I probably can't delete them but deleting thier content would be a great help.

Anyone know if this is possible and how to do it?

Thanks,

Ben

The only way i delete downloaded routes is to use TO, list the routes in the map tab, get the kuid no of the routes, print off the route as it has all the kuid no's, then go to downloads folder and search for the kuids.

Not sure if this will work, but bring up all installed items, select all and disable. I think if you use the search feature, installed, built in + false that should bring up all downloaded items. Do a search for a recent reply by R Weber, covering a similar subject. All this is in content manager by the way.

Open Trainz 2006 or 2009 folder. OCache folder, open pen Cache folder, then internet folder - delete files. Go back to Cache foloder and open thumbnails folder and also delete files. Cheers

Thanks for the ideas guys - I'll give them a try (tho I forgot to mention I was asking about 2004) so it looks like the TO idea is my only choice).

If you have a first class ticket I just moved the download folder to another location and placed a new one in its place. Put the routes i wanted into it then opened them up one at a time and let them download missing content from DLS. Once all was downloaded did a search with TO to list any missing assets and copied them across from the original moved folder. My original folder is backed up on another HD just incase.

Forgot about going that route.

Thanks stagecoach.
