The models are on my forums and can be downloaded by registering on my Website. The 2000's are NOT available for download anywhere, because they are not done yet! Were still working out the kinks

I spoke too soon! I actually had to completely go back a redo all the side texturing on the model, Peter discovered a fatal flaw in the mapping, so I've had to go back and change it all. Also re-mapping a few other things so they can be texture differently then other, and also allowing for a 5th, top secrete paint job (I'm sure someone knows what the 5th paint scheme of the 2000's was)

I know exactly which one you're talking about. Does that set still exist by the way?

I'm sorry that I never finished my 2600 that I was working on, and there's probably no use now, seeing as you've already made one and I still had a long way to go on that. Were you able to use any of the model when you made yours, or did you start completely from scratch?

Not yet. I may see if I can steal your passenger attachment points for my cars, would save me a lot of time and a lot of clicking

And Yes, that partictular set of 2000 series cars is parked outside the Skokie Shops, where they have sat outside since 1994 or so. They have been parked in the same spot since 1999 I think.

The two at the Illinois Railroad museum are going to be painted Alpine White and Mint Green sometime soon, and moved indoors. The future of the 2 at Skokie is still uncertain, though they do not run anymore, and won't be scrapped either. Its just a matter of finding them a home.

last I heard, IRM was trying to get them or parts from them.

If you look at the Stokie shops in Bing's bird's eye view, you can quite easily see them sitting there!

peter

Edit: I was looking on google streetview of the stokie shops, and realized that the cars in question have moved a couple times around the Stokie yard, but in the end not far.

I haven't decided which scheme I'll work on next, however it'll probably be either the Bicentenial or the Platinum/Black.
