Andy, we'll be sorry to see your content go, but should you need anyone to test a route, feel free to contact us anytime. I use a Dell Optiplex GX520, Intel Pentium D processor and that's not the most optimal setup for Trainz 2010. I've used the Clovis Sub almost continuously since discovering CheckRail and it runs perfect framerates with two fully loaded 100-car + trains. With one it runs perfect. We'll miss the Checkrail website, tho Andy. Hope everything is going well with you.

Andy, I just want to thank you for your wonderful routes that you have built over the years, and I for one will miss your new creations. For every new Trainz that came out, I always made sure that I had your layouts up and working smooth on them. It is a very hard choice to pick one out as a favorite, sence there all works of art. I will miss your what newest creation will be, but I do understand why you have to shut down checkrail. I hope that everything will workout in time for you, and that you will know there is one old Trainzer here that appreciates all the hard work you did.

Things seem to be going downhill here in the Trainz community lately. I hope that things do improve for Andy though.

Hi Andy and all the guys.
I am fairly new here and this negative stuff dissappoints me no end because this is a super forum with super guys keeping up a super game.
I really hope this is not the future of trainz.
Certain things I read here lies close to monopoly and the rest is caused by thick-skinned people who , I guess , would not even give things a second thought because of their thick skins even I f they get 100000 emails....
And on top of that we have the hackers..I don't think I would last one week in the conditions you had to operate under - FREELY and for the love of the game.
Hope things work out for you and the other guys who are in the same boat.

Its sad that external factors ruin things for Others. Andy I always thought that your routes were always the best and you were a awsome content Creator. I was looking forward to Evansville and western but its sad that Others ruin it for others. I will always will love your routes.

Hey there andy I just have to say one thing, don't let this bad past experience stop you from doing what you love. Yea the trainz community has changed a lot just from my 2 years of being here and it seems to be going though a rough time right now just like everything else is.
It is no longer avalible thanks to others and Hackers. Checkrail Only hosts Screenshots now.

This isn't or shouldn't be future of Trainz. To me it appears to be the result of some sort of campaign by a few cowardly moronic individuals, who for some inexplicable reason seem to have some sort of grudge against Dermmy, who is one of the most helpful and friendly people in Trainz and produces some cracking routes. I suspect these same people if confronted in the real world would be hiding in away in their cellars, basements backwoods swamps or whatever.
To Andy, it's a shame that it had to come to this but every one has their limit of what they can put up with, you have probably put up with it for longer than many would given the same problems, so I don't blame you for the choice you made if it allows you to enjoy your hobby again, free from harassment and frustration.

Wow, so sorry to see all of this. I'm a newbie and know about Dermmy's work. I wouldnt do it either based on on those "downsides". what a shame.
Just a thought - since there does seem to be alot of genuinely good people on here, maybe open up your site (and all feedback) to those you select and deem appropriate to have access to your content? Even if were 10-15 solid individuals you'd be able to remove some of those downsides and control it. Just my .02 cents.

Im sad to see this go but I think that with all these downsides i can for sure understand why u closed the site. RIP checkrail routes! after reading the downsides im taking this into a new perspective. And as always have fun andy!

I finally figured out EXACTLY what's been going on, the 'who'and 'why' and it's (a) laughable and (b) damn sad that this sort of 'politics' is invading Trainz but.....

For the cynics among us this wasn't a dummy-spit, it wasn't an attention-getter, it was cunning, calculating manipulation that I almost fell for.
I'm back, and if you think EVWR1 is gonna be good - wait till you see EVWR2, it already kills it.....
