Change mesh to LOD?

I received two very helpful responses to my question yesterday about copying TRS2006 assets to TRS2009. However, when I tried to copy the TRS2006 assets to TRS2009's Content Manager, the warning message said that I should convert the mesh to LOD.

Can someone tell me how to do that?

Thanks in advance for your help.

You can convert a .pm mesh to a .im mesh with Pev's tools. lod means level of detail and basically switching meshes with less detail the further you are away from the asset. If you don't have the source you are unable to do this.

John,

I did some surfing about this, and found the tool to which you referred. I'm afraid my best programing days with the BASIC that came with my Commodore 64 are far behind me. Thanks for your reply.

The other thing is it is a warning not an error the asset still shows correctly so you can choose to ignore it but performance wise converting to an .im file is better.
