I tried to open the CCP(a part of TS12) in my Windows 8 Pro just now , but nothing has happened when I click it.:'(

Should I install any software from Microsoft or this is the original in Windows 8 ?

Thanks for your answers.

It opens for me (Win 8.1 64bit) but there is no asset selected so that doesn't really achieve anything. You are generally expected to open it from within Content Manager with an asset selected.

Note that opening CCP starts up Taddaemon as well (background process). So that takes a little extra time.

AFAIK you should not need to install any extra MS software as the Trainz installation adds what is needed.

There are two things that are required, but you should already have both:

.NET Framework 2.0
A graphics card that supports OpenGL (although if Content Manager loads, you should not have any issues there).

EDIT: Be aware that Trainz will still need to be run as administrator, and CCP can take a few minutes to actually load - look for CCP in Task Manager.

Overall I have found running Trainz applications with Windows 7 compatibility mode enabled for each application is the best option. Without this the applications, especially Trainz TS12 will encounter a protection fault on exit. I haven't used CCP in quite some time so I'm not sure if this has the same issues, but it might be worth a try enabling the option for this application.

I'm able to run it in Windows 8 without any problems. When I close it though, a message pops up and says it's stopped working but it really hasn't.
