Cannot log into MyTrainz for some reason

That has revealed a new threat to the "Information Age", if a physical attack is actually the case here. Cyber attacks can steal and/or destroy software and data but if the IT managers are doing their jobs they can be blocked or, at the worst, restored from backups with minimal loses and delays. But attacking and destroying or damaging data centres is a different matter and the effects can last much longer (days, weeks, months). Here in Sydney about 30 data centers have been built, are under construction or planned.

There should be offsite backups or redundancies that can take over in this kind of situation. When I worked in IT we used to fly to Sunguard in Philadelphia with backup tapes and we had two and a half days to restore the entire corporate IT structure. We weren't near the size of Amazon (but we were Fortune 500), and they should have built-in redundancy at separate locations.

Try this:-

1. Start Trainz
2. From the Launcher select Trainz Settings
3. Open the Internet or MyTrainz tab (depending on your version of Trainz)
4. Left click on the link to your account (if it does not show a link then check your internet connection and reboot)
5. Re-enter your forum username and password. There will be a delay until it confirms.
6. Exit Trainz and restart Trainz.

Well, complaining here in the forum will have little chance of success. N3V has made it very clear that these forums are not monitored by the staff. Adding @N3VSupport to a post would notify a staff member logging in with that username but given it is Easter weekend, the chances are slim.
Question for the locals, is Easter a short Holiday or another two week off Holiday?

Something logged me out from MyTrainz and DLS by and new log on simply doesn't work. It doesn't concern forum at all.

While I was downloading a session, there was a 4 minute pause, then it resumed. I believe it was caused by heavy traffic on the ISP, but have no proof.

The servers have been back up since a week ago (as of April 3, 9:59 PM EDT), as I was able to log in with flying colors.

As I noted elsewhere, I completely missed this drama as I don't usually do Trainz on a Saturday. But it is amazing to discover that a war in the Middle East can turn our precious game into an instant turkey! And also interesting to discover that AWS have data centres in Bahrain. Because the Middle East is famously stable is it not? As I asked on the other thread, why cannot we have an option to 'play offline' for a certain period before the game needs to log back on to MyTrainz? Granted we won't have DLS access or (possibly) installed DLC, but at least we can carry on playing while N3V try and switch data centres!

Surveyor 2.0 might not work offline. (I don't have S2.0)

TRS22 does work just fine offline. I was able to do what I needed to do for the weekend without needing to log in. The issue I found is the program keeps checking for a log in every second instead of timing out after several tries. This constant hammering and checking didn't affect my game performance but I'm sure it can on slower computers.

I think the people that were affected by the outage were those whose program was doing its monthly check and it couldn't find the server.

Taking into account that electricity on those countries is remarkably cheap...
