Candria (A fictional unfinished but conceptual route WARNING Large Images!)

Hey Gisa
I like all that I have seen so far.
As for not finishing this, Nothing is ever finished. You just have to reach a point and either say I need to get this out to others or its I am done with it. I have been working on modifying another members layout i downloaded off of the DLS. I have been working on it for 4 years on and off. Am I done with it yet? Nope.

So have fun at it.

Well put smash, well put! :)

To be honest, I haven't touched it in a few weeks. As I stated, I'm working on a session for another route for now. I might play around with that route in time too. The problem is, I am busy these days (studying) and will be travelling home for a month to see my family and friends...

I could release what I have now but there is so much space of nothingness that I'm afraid it'd be boring and quite needless for most. I've textured about 3% of the route and have only built up some spots in the route (it's simply too big). That's why I posted the pictures of what I have done up for everyone to see. :) We'll see what the future brings...

Keep your eyes posted for a thread about the a session for Neil Smith's Toronto Lakeshore West, hopefully in a few weeks time. :)

Same as my 'Rural To City' route. Still working on it after 3 years. 80 mb and counting.

Humble but strong support! Wise decision, Gisa :hehe:

Great to hear Mr. Evans! ^^ Anything in particular?

If anyone wants to see some more shots of the areas I've displayed already, just ask and I'll see if I can take some more.

Hi Gisa
I really like that union station from post 18. I'm trying to build a terminal for my urban route similar to that. Got any more screens?

Hehe, thanks Alberte! ^^ Unfortunately, I scaled the supports out because of framerates (and my crazy idea to build so much in a small area). Still, I recommend the supports wholeheartedly!

Here are some shots for you Michael. Keep in mind, I was reworking the terminal to help improve framerates. Let me know if you would like some more!

(I even wanted to have a driveable fairy going to an island with a narrow guage steam locomotive tour).

That's quite an ambitious project Gisa, but I'm glad you didn't include a "Driveable Fairy"!:hehe: I think I would have to steer clear if you had! That's an item better placed on say.......a San Francisco based layout, if you know what I mean.

Argh, the joy of losing a post you were typing away at...@@

Thanks for the compliments. =) No need to apologize...but I don't plan on finishing this route at this time, if ever. It's just too big and too slow, but I did learn a lot from it and the good news is that I am making a prototypical route that I WILL finish which I'm hoping will run well. I'm proud of it so far and I think it'll have something for everyone. See this thread for details:

I stress that it's a wise idea to start off very small and take your time!

Hahaha Euphod =D don't you just love how the English language can have two differently spelled words that sound the exact same?
