Canadian Rocky Mountains 2011

Roy,

I see what you mean about the draw distances. No wonder you're constantly irritated by it...
Those shots of Banff are looking pretty good (other than the afore mentioned). You'd be a pretty nasty person to say "Yeh, but it isn't really Banff". Well done! Lots of work still to be done you say? Really? Looks pretty real to me.

Increase those Draw Distances!

Hi Jango, Roy:

I posted the draw distance question a few days ago in the "Ask you questions about Tane..." thread under Kickstarter but no one answered and it got "lost." I have therefore created a new thread under the "Trainz a new era + Kickstarter" on this very subject:

http://forums.auran.com/trainz/showthread.php?109019-Draw-distance-increase

Any one who wants to jump in and support increasing Draw Distance please do so. It is still early in the T:ANE development cycle. If they have not intended to make an increase we might have some influence. We have an English Canadian expression that "the squeaky wheel gets the grease." So lets do some squeaking and squealing. :Y:

Cheers,

Derek

Thank you all for posting.
Casper probably I miss the correct way of reading your post but actually i model the entire region as seen in the nice picts from Rob but draw distance lock prohibits seeing all the details.
Derek i posted on your ks thread.

Banff Nat'l Park corrections on the entrance signs

thank you Rob: you kindly pointed me at some typo's and wrong park sign.
Now it looks better and is called correctly Banff Nat'l Park L-Louise Bow River Campground.

rob I know it is time i visit the region but for now I keep it to looking at GE and many times improvise and get side tracked trying to makes things look nicer than reality.

Looking good Roy,

I drove through this door with the my rented Motorhomes in summer 2002 and late summer 2004.
The Canadian Rocky Mountains are a very nice place to spend some weeks of holydays.

Your’s TUME

Hallo Uwe,

I see your memories are still alive and no need to make reservations for a weekend to spent at the campground and follow trails on my route when ready to release which we delay for obvious reasons.
thanks for the compliment and let me repeat myself that your route is getting along so well for the seasonal version and look forward to see it in E2 right?
You are a heck of a route builder and such a great trainzer friend.

Keep up the good work

Roy;)

Hi folks,

If any of you were thinking about exploring Royz Woodz you could lay down an invisible track (Vulcan has a few colours to choose from) and add one of PEV's drivable walking men (on DLS).
Walker1
Walker1 lead pedestrian
Walker2
Walker2 pedestrian

I think I'm going to contact him & see if he'll build us and assortment of hikers but these will do for now I think. Give it a try & let us know how you go.

This may have been mentioned before in this thread but there are also drivable horses on DLS
Horse and Rider 1A - trotting
Horse and Rider 1B - trotting
Horse and Rider 1C - trotting

Morning Rob,

thanks for pointing out drivable walkers.
Yes it is easy to lay down trails addtional to the one's i layed check GE and you will find many more you can choose from.
I just gave some hints and tips what is feasible and the trotting horse are used in my routes all the time.
Once the winter versions get ready we can think about ski doo, ski, snow board para glide to explore a corner of the route.
For those still not aware my routes are not about trainz only but about Roy's world which offers a lot more.

Ok back to Banff and try to finish a street which seems to take for ever, yes getting tired a little bit of the never ending town bulding........
Hang in there i say to myself many times and skip to some jack hammer work on cliffs left and right, never a dull moment but yes time to finish this section to be honest.
