Canadian Rocky Mountains 2011

Yahoo, Roy's mountaineer lives

FWheeeeeetttt !!!.......... Fwheeeeeeeeuwwww !! for those too Roy !

I couldn't have said it better myself. :hehe: Keep these great surprises coming Roy, I am literally :mop: at the sight of the modern Rocky, woops, Roy's Mountaineer livery with the smiling face of Djoetje himself. Fantastic! I'll have to go back and look at the pictures that I took on the Rocky Mountaineer trip last year and see if Djoetje image was already on those cars.........

Cheers,

Derek

Thanks Cascaderailroad for pointing the blooper but it not makes the shots look worse it it is hard to see first eye..
Not to bad if that is the only one.
Will pay attention to it next time.

Roy;)

RM new livery and photoshop 6.0 mysteries to me

Thanks but i am not happy with the result. I still not get used to photoshop awkward stoneage way of manipulating and creating things. Especially ellipses arcs to create the curvatures and make the white/yellow/blue waves smooth not yagging like a jigsaw....ouch.
here two shots in the dark haha lol from far close up no good. If someone can advice hint tips always welcome otherwise will have to do as is for the moment loose to much time getting side trackewd.

Brakes on, sand on, the diesels snarl in notch 8 as the engineer works hard to keep the train under the speed limit on a steep downgrade.

Djoetje home alone for one week and proud of his new RM logo initiative;)

Shiver me timbers

My goodness Roy, those last images of the Rotary test in Yoho took me back to when I was 6 years old! We had a monster snowstorm that Winter and it left a 4 m high drift down the road. They had to bring in a Rotary plow (on wheels of course) to deal with it. I remember my Dad taking me over to watch as the giant spinning disk chewed through. Your images are so authentic (and being Canadian I know snow :hehe:) that it brought back this memory that I hadn't thought of in years (probably more like decades....LOL).

You are also doing great work on the RM...looks fantastic.

Cheers,

Derek

Morning all,

Hi Barry thanks the interior is Ocemy's gems they are so nice and copsy the best I have seen so far and fit the RM colors I think.

Derek hope you not already ready to hibernate seeing these picts.
this was only possible using Dean's snow banks and the rotary items like the one from Davesnow.
I did pm Dave if he would be so kind to make a rolling stock item that would be a snow bank and one could push as a consist of a given length along the stretch one wants to clean. Hope he will anser positive so we could do a lot of plowing etc this upcoming winter.
I would make than special winter routes incl the snow banks and see how far we get with this.
Have a great day and thanks for the nice comments.

Roy n Ning.

Djoetje is ok sort of as Ning's aunt and husband take care the property and him but for sure not same when Ning or me is home.

Fish ladders SW of Two Jack Lake

Ain't that something. this morning i was into something different and introduced fish ladders into the streams SE of Two Jack lake feeding the Bow River in between Banff and Canmore.
Well what a surprise to see Yogi bear already had an early morning breakfast fresh salmon on his menu just catch one at one of the steps.

Good time Roy and fellow trainzers. I have news about Rocky Mountaineer old livery ultradome:

I`ve added working marker lights (Enabled, when ultradome in end of train) and updated mesh a bit. Now ubderbody of coach is round.

P.S. Roy,please, don`t blame me for posting here, because ultradomes are part of mountains too :)

Morning Ivan,

nice addition to your very nice ultra domes!
BTW do not worry I never blame you only posted in the beginnning when not clear to me who and what was posted in the way you did.
Would be great if the interior would get attention too like Ocemy did with his cars.
Especially on the lookout terrace while driving have vantage points to walk around and enjoy the scenery.
Thanks for sharing.

have a nice sunday.

Good evening Roy and guys :)

Yesterday i`ve started a version of ultradome in a modern paint.

Worked on it 1 day and got this result:

All versions of Ultradome are updated, time to discover how to add interior
