Canadian Rocky Mountains 2011

Hey Roy - great Tane shots (WIP) I am holding off getting your winter route TS12 - how long before you may release your Tane versions (ballpark)?

@butler57

Today I more or less finished repairing textures for TANE but not tuning yet settings etc.
I should explain when I post picts what I try to show as first results of TANE and not by far a finished product tuned and fixed. .
in between fixing and repair from TS12 to TANE I try to show how much TANE improved not yet finished route details like trees color ambience water color ambience. That all will be addressed when all repair is done .
Ballpark figure 2 weeks maybe in best case. My first results of my speedtrees I call a big success especially considering the time spent all done from scratch and no experience.
learning by doing.

Thank you all for the kind posts!

You all have a nice weekend

Thanks for the update Roy - take your time - Tane is a beast to get right but it looks good when you do.
I understand the repairs and issues - My Tane cannot even do a texture replace in section without crashing to desktop and it is the most updated version - I hope N3V bring out some quick fixes.

Interesting with your trees are they with the latest speed tree version? I have some from Mcguiral - quite good trees and some seasonal as well.

You have a great week end as well.

Roy,

If there is a separate T:ANE version, will owners of the TS12 version be able to have a discount? Just curious, thanks. I will definitely want to switch to T:ANE after my first experiences are great with 3rd party import content.

Paul

@Butler57 thanks for the post.
yes replace asset not works well they have to iron. would have saved me a lot of time but ok.
You talk about the beast i would call it a mustang or stallion, when you ride a horse you make contact so is it with TANE.

A stallion thoroughbread will be a nerveous full blooded creature you not tame but you communicate with thru subtile touches and mind sharing and try to be a team than with some patience you will get results you love forever.

I just came back from my speedtree garden switching on the sprinklers to make my new trees grow and show their beauty...:hehe:

@Paul and others yes my routes in TANE will be a special route not just import route from TS12 to TANE there is some major tweak and tune I have to do and did so you cannot (well you can) just import as the results will be far of what you would like to see and please not blame us.
TANE should have been done in TRS2006 and so the stricter built and script and what else rules we now have to endure and pay the price for the years of soft approach allowing anything in any version to be "compatible" or work more or less......
Yes there will be a discount automatically priced the net price when clicking the route for those having the route in TS12.

Roy:)

TANE post processing what a nice feature!

He buddy 64warhorse thanks these are my new trees and i must admit i like them a lot and already tickeld to enhance them but first things first the route and later next month or 2 a make updates on the trees first get eperience on how they behave before going deeper into the forest.:hehe:

Today attacking more faulty and or unknown kuids to get them somewhat working in TANE but in between i take a few minutes to play with post processing and here some first results:
tell me what you think, my gutsfeeling tells me we have a wonderful exciting time ahead of us and have to make absolute priorities not to get sidetracks on things like enhancing stuff before the route even is ready to run and get a feeling how that shows.

this one compared to the first picts released without post processing and tweaking the ambient colors and water i quiet a change for the better if i may say so and my wife allows to.:p

you all have a nice sunday

Hi Roy, I like the trees quite a lot, and the lake is beautiful. However, the sky much too blue, the texture seems to be saying it should be a solid grey overcast. Also, is there any way you can persuade it to draw in the trees further back? Those bare mountains look like the belong in a desert in Chile or Iran, not the Canadian Rockies, they look so brown! Finally, here's a few shots I took today near Banff on the Laggan sub:

The sky that is a setting i have to adjust but the mufties take over the rockies is not my intention honest. i know they are bare for the moment i have to add some more textures there as they suppose to be snow above 2000 mtr coming from TRS 2006 and all later versions not really had good texturing on far distant so now should be the time to experiment with that. We will get there.
i have tune post processing to my snow textures used look much more white. I just started fidling little bit with post processing and the rest so this will be solved by me for sure one of these days.
thanks for your comment and post still like TS12 and the Laggan. That is the next one to port to TANE once the CPR is up and running. BTW in the Laggan Sub I used already more textures on the mountains because i anticipated TANE would be able to handle it much better than TS12.
The distance speedtrees and objects distance draw are somewhat limited and i not found a backdoor yet, probably a limit.

@64warhorse,
thanks for posting nice Laggan sub images TS12, imagine this in TANE but first I ipdate CPR Mountain Sub and honest just in my lunchtime sitting somewhere on a mountain top like in real life one would sit and gaze enjoy the breathtaking view the world give those appreciating the little things of life.

I rather doubt that a beaver would be interested in anything with that much creosote in it. :) More likely, it's so the poles don't get snapped off by the wake from the snowplows. Might also help with frost heave issues.

Journey on the CPR Mountain Sub, Part 1

First part of my journey on the CPR Mountain Sub by Roy's Trainz. Enjoy!
