Hi there team! Thisismy first time, so please bear with me....Is it possible to start a "new world", have a great time playing trainz, but add more Bits" to an expanding world? I have created a world addedon to Queensland, but everytime I add more, I have to start right at the begining, it`s all there, but if I have used the waybills, and started an enterprise, I loose it all on startup,(or haveI missed something) I still think Trainz is great! Iamm 63 yrs. old..
Thank you for reading this boring question, if one doesn`t ask.....!

Welcome to the Trainz forums, Mickey. This is definitely a world where you'll become lost in and you're family and co-workers, if you're still working, will come looking for you because you're not part of the "real world" outside of the Trainz simulator!
Now to answer your questions:
You can keep adding and adding to your heart's content. To expand a route, in Surveyor click on the Topology tool then advanced. This has an add baseboard item where you can make your world grow. You can even create your own route from scratch, sculpt your own land, import DEM files (Digital Elevation Maps), use other peoples routes and merge them into your own creation, or even use a combination of all three methods if you wish within the same route. The only thing that prevents your route from working, is your imagination not doing its part.
Your post is not at all boring. In fact
never think that about anything you type. Remember the old saying. A question never asked is one that goes unanswered. If you don't ask the question, someone else may, in fact most of the time, by asking this question, you've also answered the same questions for someone else.
At 63 I hope you are retired and enjoying your time right now. You'll find Trainz, as I said above, to be very time-consuming, and yes very addicting. You'll end up thinking about your routes as you go about other Trainz things such as driving somewhere, looking at a real railroad ROW, etc. You'll start thinking hmm... I can do something like this. How can I solve this switching problem, etc.
As you've found out that Trainz is very much like a giant model railroad. There are so many aspects of the program that you'll barely scratch the surface. Route building is only a tiny piece of the puzzle. There's driving/operations, scripting, and even content creation, which is like scratch building. You can even modify other people's objects for yourself, and with permission, upload them to the Download Station (DLS).
Anyway, always feel free to post questions. You may not get an answer right away, but in many cases, someone will come along with an answer. This is an international community that all share the same interest.
Regarding your running sessions, you can setup your sessions, in the edit sessions to keep your setups so your AI trainz will remember what you've told them to do over and over.
If make any changes while running a session, you can save the session, and pick up where you left off the next time you want to drive.
Take care,
John
