Cajon Pass WIP

may i see some screenshots of my locos wridenour On The Cajon pass

I wouldn't get your hopes up! Reputable route builders are very selective concerning what objects to screenshoot on their routes, and often don't use reskins at all to avoid a tacit endorsement of someone's work. At least, that's my explanation!;)

Gosh I remember back in the Trainz SP3 days, when we had a limited selection of default auran assets (i.e., 1 track USA Wood)....and now we're arguing over ballast color lol
We're not arguing just discussing.:D Your route's looking superb. Those bush's you're using for sage brush are spot on. That's about all there is out there is sage brush. Just don't let the red eye effect that's in a lot of pictures throw you, it will give things a false red to maroon look. Take a look at this thread, the Connaught tunnel for a perfect example. There's not really any purple ballast there nor is the tunnel really purple.

@Joe
Like I said in my post you did a superb job on the Mojave Sub route too, so take what I said with a grain of salt. My creations are far from perfect either.:hehe:

-Its okay! I accept your comments. No ones perfect, and we're all only human. :)

I had thought it was too sandy, but didn't quite have the nerve to go for a darker texture....how about this?

Maybe a little too green? I don't want it to look like Ireland lol ;)

I thought it would have been cool if one of us made the route pre-2007 so users could run the route before and after the 3rd main went in. It was my original idea but already had enough to do so I choose the most modern time frame!

-Joe

I have considered doing (and started to work on) an early 90's ATSF/SP version of the pass, but I'm going to go ahead and finish this modern one first. Maybe go back later :)

I'm gonna give you some constructive criticism here:
1)That is WAAY too green. I think the old textures were better.
2)try to rotate your textures, too. Even when far away you can see the "grain of the textures.
just my thoughts...

Actually, due to the rainfall recently, the cajon sub has seen a little more green than usual, but that is a bit much green for the desert

Could use less green and more desert textures more of a mixture. Other than that the route looks very well.

The textures in the distance are actually well mixed up, but TS12 seems to "straighten" distant textures for some reason.
