Cajon Pass WIP

eww, Rail Simulator....no, they probably just didn't get a liscence to use BNSF in their game, so they just have UP

Wow, I feel like I've been living under a rock! I just found this. Great work there wridenour!

I believe there are a couple Cajon Pass routes being worked on atm. I can't wait to see them.

Keep up the great work and time for some screenshots!

Hey Wridenour,
Just something I wanted to ask.
I completely missed this up until a few days ago, Will the route have the barstow locomotive servicing facilities (I have no clue what the name of the facility itself is, I just remember going by something that looked to be a loco servicing depot [given the amount of locomotives sitting on 1 track and the style of buildings] I don't know if this is a servicing facility as UP has a similar track with about 50 Geep's sitting on it here in Phoenix, so somebody who has more knowledge on the subject please correct me if I'm wrong)

It's going good, but slow. Yes, the servicing facilities are included and are represented as good as I can.

The non-natural, populated stuff (buildings, residential, commercial, steetlamps, cars, mailboxes, etc.) that make up Barstow/Victorville/Hesperia/San Bernardino are really scaring me. If there's anyone out there with great skill in these areas who would like to take on this enormous project, their help would be much obliged. I ask because I've found that while I'm good at track, roads, and natural scenery (textures, plants, trees), it's the polulated stuff that I'm not that great at.

Also, anyone who's good at poto-lars industrial stuff? There are mines at Oro Grande and Victorville, the San Bernardino Container Terminal, and various other small industries that are just begging for attention. If someone other than me could get these locations all rigged-up for industrail work, they could be great little stops for local trains.:)

I'd be happy to lend my services to you mate, as long as you can help me by giving information on the town/city.

As long as I'm allowed to make high-detail areas near the tracks, and less detail further away

Jamie

Yeah, that'd be great! PM me your email and I'll send it to you. Take as long as you like working on it, as I'd kinda like a break! :D High detail up close, low detail further away. That's the way to do it! The areas just north of San Bernardino, the area around Hesperia and Victorville, and the area around Barstow all need attention. Oh course I can't expect you to do all of it, as that's a tremendous amount of work, but just work on it as much as you like.

Can someone give me an update for this im on the list for beta testing but I want to make sure it wont be available until after christmas because thats when im getting ts12

Even if it is released before Christmas you can still just wait until you get ts12 to download it out of the PM.

In that case you have to wait for less time for it ;)

Well if there is anything needing touching up I can help as well. I can also touch up or SB Metrolink area as well. Let me know. I have nothing else to do..... :hehe:

oh heck no....it ain't gonna be done by Christmas lol. H222 has it, and when he's done working on it, I'll send it to someone else....make it sort of a group effort, you know?

Christmas is 11 days, and a city with 200 000 people ain't gonna build itself, and Barstow has 20 000, that's gonna take some time,

Jamie
